well, currently it would take up a space of 17x10 simcity tiles, but due to the shape it would be most practical if the building would be overhanging which means the lot itself could be a lot smaller thus reducing the risk of the crime bug.

Just downloaded the 1 Pacific Place. Great job guys!! Now I have to install into the plugin. FYI for everyone, you might be wondering what that logo is. The logo on the building is Swire, a business conglomerent that owns Cathay Pacific, and a large number of buildings near Taikoo and Quarry Bay, including One Island East. It also owns a large number of shopping malls around HK.

Excellent! I just can't wait till the whole complex is finished! What a pity that I didn't take some photos when I passed by there twice in a week.

Me too. I was in HK two weeks ago. Pacific Place was supposed to be one of my stops but I didn't have time to go. Dang!

Yes, the reflections do look nice, but....

The fact that you still see sky reflected where there should be ground is slightly disconcerting. It's tricky to fake it to look good; reflected sky in the windows seems "right" even though in an isometric universe it's strictly wrong... Personally, I'd try to make a transition from more neutral gray refelctions near the bottom up towards blue sky at the top, but that may not look too good either. And/or tone down the refelctions; having the reflections so obvious just begs the question of why the ground isn't reflecting also.

Hello everybody I'm sorry for the luck of the progress (updates on LIPPO) but I was absolutely flooded with work and usual seasonal hassle. At the moment I, unfortunately can not promise that I'll be done with LIPPO before Xmas, as I haven't even started on night lighting yet. But I'll do what I can as soon as I'll have time!

guys, you still think of reflections in very wrong fashion , as if the would be textures, but they are NOT textures! And sooner you'll realize it the sooner you'll get it looking right. You should think of glass not in terms of fakes like textures, gradients etc, but in terms what glass is in PHYSICAL sense! So there should be REFLECTIONS not pictures pasted. so give it something to reflect! And YES NO WAY could/should there be any sky on it - this is plain wrong!

Paul, and everybody else who may be interested!

Here is a link to excellent tutorial on making FULLY custom trees:

    Tree Tutorial

    Word of advise:

You may need to exclude the trees from GI if your computer/software (older versions of Max) are not up to the challenge. In many cases it may be quite unnoticeable.

Impressive, simply impressive. Are you planning to make the side with the driveway entrance the front of the lot?

Things are really coming together nicely, paul. Are you gonna make the lot transit enabled so that the road can merge nicely into the entrance/undergraound parking?
