About This File

Pathed by Redlotus; modelled by Fosterk, Decius, DuskTrooper, and N74704.

A fully-functioning network-enabled plop allows the connection of railroad tracks at the top of the ramp descending down to a connection to the subway network at the bottom is now a possibility! Trains visually descend into the 'pit' thanks to Redlotus' pathing for the lot. (thanks!) I happened to have stumbled upon the fact that referencing non-existant base textures in the game results in a 'see-through' effect, just what was needed for this lot and its LODs to work 100% correctly.

Note: Like the Maxis network transition (el-train-to-subway), this lot has a minor 'bug' that is visual only. When plopping items around the lot, sometimes the ground texture of SC4 will 'cut through' the lot. The easiest way to fix it is to go into sub-terranean view then quickly return to surface view. It should look normal now.

Monorail-to-subway is an option worth looking into. Yes, the slope is unrealistic. I was not willing to extend the lot any longer as that would make the lot less practical to use. Umm ... yes, if you had read the description, you'd have known that the trains are SUPPOSED to drop off at the end.

There is no way for a train to enter and continue on into the subway, and I'm not honestly even sure about getting a subway to appear when the train enters. You connect the subway via underground mode; it is not hard.

Another fantastic job by NDEX, great job all and somehow I believe that Equinox spent way too much time perfecting it :P

Wow, it looks better than the Japanese one linked from your site and the Japanese bat gallery... (with no offence, it was great!!! If the creater ever reads my response)

LOL @ Fuzzy Banks ... yes, this model you see here is the fifty-ninth time I've exported it ... it took a LONG time to get the track textures to align properly. :)

This is fantastic. I'm over the moon that you have created this great version of a Japanese BAT. I like it how the trains continue. Nice. I would give you 100/10 but it doesn't have that.

Pure excellence Regarding the comemnts on the steep slope: I find that if the lot is placed slightly below the level of the surrounding terrain, and the railtracks leading to the lot are allowed to descend slowly, the overall impression will be one of an acceptable slope.

perfect, it kinda ticked me off that the bums at EA games didn't do this for when the game came out, nice work :)

Mh - Ok, I'll give it a try and it sounds really good - but btw. how does it interact with the UDrive it missions? (As I really like to do the train missions ;) )

In essence it's the same as a dead end, except the train will appear to "fall off" before it hits the end. Basically, if it falls off and you keep going, it will hit a point and disappear.

Blue squares? Jobs? What are you talking about? Did you read my footnote in the readme and in the description about the 'bug' and how to fix it?

:D so its a 9 (could well have been a 10, but I am somewhat conservative about max.ratings) for me & the vis. glitch I encountered is the same (as said in the readme) I also found with maxis own sub-el transition...

This is NOT a sub to el transition! This is a surface to sub transition! Oh, and the bugs were already fixed!
