About This File

Colossus Addon Mod - ModPacc Zero is an additional extension of the patches found in CAM Core File. These additional patches allow you to fix graphical bugs and improve the vanilla graphics of the automata, as well as additional patches that can improve gameplay and performance and remove features that are no longer used. This mod is a JSON file that allows you to install and select the mods that make up Modpacc Zero using SC4Pac.

Please note that this pack may receive updates in the near future. Do not redistribute without asking first, mostly as doing so would complicate efforts to properly maintain, update, and provide technical support for the pack.

WARNING: This package is completely optional and is not a necessary dependency of CAM.

WARNING: From version 2.5 onward Colossus Addon Mod works only with the digital version (1.1.641) of SimCity 4 (Microsfot Windows and Linux only). If you run CAM 2.5 or later on systems other than those listed, the mod may malfunction and no support is provided.

Installation

The file is a JSON file, so you need to use SC4Pac to install the mods. Go to the My Plugins section and import the JSON file.

Only two mods require manual installation and are listed below:

  • 4GB Patch
Allows SimCity 4 to use 4 GB of RAM instead of 2 GB (Requires 64-bit architecture).

The following installation is recommended to improve the game's graphics quality using filters

  • Reshade
Improve the game's graphics quality using filters (Requires DirectX 11 to work)

Dependencies

The following files are required in order for the contents of this package to appear correctly (i.e., no "brown boxes" or missing textures) (the below listed dependencies are covering a full install; for dependencies for individual collections see the list of contents secion):

And possibly others who may not have been mentioned. If your name has been forgotten or you're not on the list, then drop us a line, as it has been difficult to keep track of anyone/everyone that may of helped somewhere along the lines.

And to the community itself, we would also like to thank you for your support, making mods such as this possible too. We're still at it after 20 years thanks to you!

And last but not least, a thanks for the Maxis individuals too, for the [paid] work that they did. ;-)

Hi! So, I'm building my plugins folder again. Does CAM_Maxis_Buildings_Blocker.dat block all Maxis buildings? And therefore, any mod that touches Maxis buildings would be unneeded? I'm referring to mods like Go Away Wren, Maxis Mansion Overhaul, Area 51/Air Force Base No Exclusion, Lower Pedriana Farms Frequency, Leshan WindPowerPlant NoGrass, and Maxis Seasonal - Residential & Commercial Lots (I have that last one edited to not include Maxis mansions).

Also, is it correct all mods that were formerly included in ModdPacc Zero, such as the Opera House Fixes, and Crime and Police Station Fixes, aren't needed with CAM 2.5?

Additionally, if I want to use a Track Checker by @dragonsteincole or PEG garbage truck replacement, can I exclude No Tracker Checker and Cori's Garbage Truck Eradicator?

Thank you so much!

CAM_Maxis_Buildings_Blocker.dat must be installed obligatorily to block Maxis civic and utility buildings and use the CAM version. So all mods that alter Civic and Utility buildings are incompatible with CAM

The various Zero Modpack files have been incoported between this download and CAM Core file (Currently unavailable for download) so they no longer need to be installed

No Tracker Checker and Cori's Garbage Truck Eradicator only serve to reduce the spawn of automata by reducing them to ideal numbers so they are not annoying

Forgive me if I don't use the correct technical language...   *;)

But when I ran the JSON file with SC4pac, using the newly updated version, there was some type of format error. It read something about line 17. When I looked at the code and compared the lines, I noticed there was no comma after the T Wrecks file line as there were after all the others. If I added the comma, the file ran with SC4pac and it appears that all was installed as expected. Hope that makes sense...

Hello :)

I just installed the "ModManager" and thru the manager, I have installed the "Colossus Addon Mod - ModPacc Zero". I have gone through all the steps several times to check I didn't do anything stupid.

BUT - when I start the game it says it cannot read the settings file, and the game starts in a very small window. I can change the graphics in-game, but when I re-start the game to confirm the changes, it still says it cannot read the settings file.

I have the digital GOG version installed

If you're having trouble with Autosave, this isn't the right place to get support

Follow the instructions on SC4pac to ensure you install the .ini files correctly

I'm sorry, it is installed, and I have renamed the files that it said I should rename. I will try to find my way in the forums.

Thanks :)
