Sorry I cant give you a better answer regarding cross OS platform. Scratching my head that a single package file decided which OS to work with.

Yeah it's a puzzle isn't it!  Thanks for bearing with us - I know you get a million posts a day saying something is broken, and only a few of them really are.  Hopefully you guys can figure it out. I'm more than happy to test anything out if you need a Mac tester.  Cheers.

No, I use hi res. The hi res 2.3 crashed the game, so I've stayed using the 1.0 hi res (007-OFFLINE_DLC_OBJECTS_SUGC_TEAM1_20140716_1_0_Parklets.package).   I just tried out lo res version 2.3, and SimCity will load (good) but I couldn't find parklets anywhere in the menus (bad).  The version 1.0 hi res works just fine for me.  I hope all that makes sense...?

You can :)    Go to the download and choose the one called 7.Parklets (LowRes)   Unzip it and you'll see two files - put both of them in SimCityData.  I'm not sure exactly where they'll show up (my guess is the Parks>Nature tab).  Good luck!

I can't get the game to start with the lowRes. I am running the game in HighRes. I still like to use you're package with out AKAR. by the way i am on a MAC too

@elemental we have actually made no changes to the parklets themselves.

 

Then where did the gravel/paving textures come from? Surely it didn't just "happen" all by itself.

 

Modular parkets is a great idea but why limit users by only offering one ground texture? Surely the point of modding is to offer more choice, more options. Is it not possible to clone the parklets and offer both grass and paving textures so the user can choose? Both can look good in different situations. Both can look horrible in different situations.

I'm not sure why this is but when I use the latest version of Parklets (LowRes as I use LowRes Akar) it causes a "SimCity has crashed" message when I save and close the game.  As far as I can see it doesn't affect my save file and I can play the game normally but of course I'd rather not have any error messages at all. 

If I use version 1.0 I do not get this message.  I am using Win7.

Are you using a Mac?  I can't launch SimCity on my Mac with the newest version of this either, but with the older one (1.0) it works ok - the link it at the top right of this page under previous versions.  The modders have been looking into why it won't work with Mac, hopefully there will be some news soon.

Ive installed Parklets over, and over again. It just wont show up. Im using a Low-Res Akar.

I have a problem, i put that file in the directory and start the game but game will not start. It shut down. I dont know why.

Based on all previous comments, am I right to think that on Mac OS X systems (a MacBook Air 13" specifically, especially with low-res Akar), I need to download the previous version 1.0? On the Download page there's only one file being offered...where's the low-res version 2.3?

 

The game will load with version 1.0 but not 2.3 on my MBA. What, if any, am I missing out by using the old 1.0 version instead of the newer 2.3 version?

I have a strange problem with this mode and I am not really sure, why this happens.

 

I`ve installed the File above (009_OFFLINE_DLC_SUGC_TEAM1_20_0731_2_3_Parklets.package) in my Sim City Date folder.

Than I've started Sim City and picked up a new Reagion to test the mod. I've claimed a city and tried to find the parks, but the are not really there.

 

I don't have Akar, but I've read that the latest version is also for Non Akar users. Have I missed something while reading?

And if it matters: I'm not using a Mac. 

I can't get Akar because it breaks my game, is it avalible for non-akar users? I'm on Windows.

I have a problem here. I'm using a macbook and I need a 1.0 version. However, I can't find that version, where should I get it?  There is no such link on this page! If you have the link of it or simply know where to click, please leave the link to me.
