Transform your city's roadways with the new Civilian Vehicles Collection! Available for Online and Offline use!
 
Over 5 weeks of work went into creating this vehicle mod, featuring vehicles from North America and Europe. A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to fellow modder, Tobse. I want to point out that this mod would not have been possible without his help with vehicles, his knowledge, and long nights spent on Skype chat with me fixing errors and putting this project together. This is just as much his mod as it is mine. If you get a moment, stop by to say thanks to him.
 
Features
 - Replaces all 14 civilian vehicles in SimCity 2013 (Nissan Leaf DLC not included)
 - Custom color palettes increase available vehicle colors from default 40 to 128 total colors
 - Bundled vehicle textures are at 512x512 and 256x256 resolution

Installation Instructions
 - Install by copying the .package files into your ...\Origin Games\SimCity\SimCityData\ folder
 - You may rename the .package files, make sure they come before "SimCity_App" alphabetically
 - Individual mod files for each car are located in the "Individual Files" folder for more flexibility
 
Warning
 - Modifying files is still experimental and might lead to city rollbacks
 - There is no official statement from Maxis nor EA about using mods, so use at your own risk

This mod replaces all civilian cars (14 in total) in SimCity 2013 to real-life, high definition versions of the vehicles. Our plan is to release full separate versions for Europe and North America in the near future, this is simply our first mixed edition to get it in the hands of players as soon as possible. If you notice any problems, please report them in the comments and we will look at the issues as soon as possible. Be looking for more mods like this very soon! Thanks for your support. this really looks great ya'll! could be my favorite mod so far. if people start changing buildings to dunkin donuts and starbucks thatd be something!

Well, If I had SC2013, I'd definitely download this. I take it additional models aren't possible at this point; the only thing I'd want to have as an option would be to keep the 1970s VW Bay Window Bus (with the black spare tire on the front) only because I'm nostalgic and I find it funny that they included it in the base game. Which one replaces it?

 

Thanks for the work; If I cared enough to buy the game you'd definitely be one of my top downloads. As it is thanks for keeping the community and modding alive!

Just wondering, you mentioned Lambos spawn occasionally from high wealth lots, does this idea hold true for all vehicles? E.g. BMW/Audis spawning from high wealth and few medium wealth lots, mini/volkswagan from mainly medium and some low+high wealth, camrys equal medium and low, etc.

 

Would be very cool and help realism tremendously to see high wealth districts with lots of audis/bmws/lambos, medium wealth districts with many volkswagans minis with the odd bmw/audi, and low wealth with plenty of camrys, renaults, hyundais, etc

I like how this mod focuses on something really small in the game. Because you have to zoom so far in too see the cars properly, it makes people also look at other details.

Best vehicle mod out there! Hope to see the Limos be replaced with various of different stretch limos Including Rolls Royce and Bently and maybach

But is there a way to add these cars to the existing pool of cars instead of replacing them? Sorry I just don't like the sight of the same type of car in a row.

Vehicles are tied strictly to one wealth level at the moment. We are working on a way to add a larger pool of vehicles. Great breakdown for how vehicles could spread across multiple wealth levels, I will take this into consideration when we solve this problem. Thanks again!

lol :) The Tesla Model S is in production, not sure on a release date. It will replace the Nissan Leaf car.
