No More Neighbour Connection Arrows  1.1

About This File

Tired of those oversized road signs, dangerously placed on your centrelines?

This mod removes the yellow arrows that appear on all networks, when connected to a neighbouring city.

The functionality of the connections is preserved. As a result, querying the network still reveals the information dialog (see screenshot). You may find this useful for creating City Journals, or to just make your cities more appealing.

Note: A while ago there was a similar mod on the STEX, based around this concept, but for some reason is no longer available. So for the benefit of the community, I've now recreated it. *:)

What's the point in removing neighbor connections? Actually having a road or transit network to another city will help people get efficiently between neighboring cities.

It doesn't remove the connections, only hides the yellow arrows. As mentioned in the description, all functionality is preserved. ;)

I have the previous file and like it a lot. This is a perfect plugin for CJ keepers. It is good to know that this is here.

Thank you so much, finally I won't have to deal with the big ass arrows pointing to each city that take out the realism.

But how will we have guidance without the orange arrow?

You will not see an "end" to the road. It will be a "clean" cut, as though continuing into the air. Look closely at the picture.

One of those things I never realized bothered me--but now that I think of it it does :D  Nice work!

Good idea.  I'm surprised this hasn't been done yet.  It will help with city photos and overall realism.

Well, as the description says: It has been done. In fact, I've had the old mod (which is no longer available) in my plugins folder for many years. I wasn't even aware of the fact that it can no longer be downloaded. Good thing you brought it back, CB! :)

i know, I'm kidding lol. I was making a reference to that PEG garbage disposal lot. Though I'm slightly surprised no one caught on haha.

Nice for neatness types or CJ makers.  Not for me.  I like to be able to see connections at a glance.  Good work though.

The original Hide Neighbor Connection Arrows (HCNA) Mod was by ebina. It can be found here under STEX Exchange Archives: http://www.mediafire.com/?v4e7gtcmhdhj1

It was removed form the STEX for some reason. Then, it was archived on SimCity China (without permission).

In any case, it is nice to see another version of this mod back on the STEX.
