About This File

Back to the backroads - here's Talbot Speedway, a 3/4-mile style NASCAR oval circuit. This one's completely fictional, but based off of several real-life tracks like those found in Charlotte, Richmond, and Phoenix, featuring several grandstands, garages, track offices, press box, victory lane, and scoring pylon.

Looks good. A bit more wear and tear on the track and pit lanes would make it look much better, at the moment its too clean. And also, in the second image, sucks to be in the car thats been crushed by the grandstand :P

I actually had more wear and oil spills and whatnot textured onto the track and pits but the BAT decided to turn them into pixelated squares. Car being crushed, yeah, that's a whoops.

Great work! This was a really creative idea, Frex; wonderful job with the stadium, Fribe. Congrats to the NBT Team! :thumb:

5/5 for the effort. The 3/4 mile size really makes it up.

Really, it deserves to be featured on the Main Page instead of a rushed looking BAT...

looks great, also nice to have something a bit different :) Does it have any effects, like increased caps or lower desirebility?

Great job! Looks terrific in my small, whistle-stop town. I used the modular truck parking setup to make space for haulers (even though the trucks are timed), which adds a nice touch. I didn't see a gate from the track to the outside, but maybe a second edition could feature that. I'm also wondring about a dirt-track version, that would be really cool. If I had the ability I'd get to work creating race props (Modifieds, haulers, and so much other junk (a local speed shop, for instance) it makes my head spin. If you put the Farm themed stuff from PEG with a dirt oval, and the right props, it would let you create a midwestern town where you knew everybody was on Saturday nights - at the track. Put it right next to the fairgrounds. Thanks! :D 6/5

You're good at these stadiums that no one else builds. Love them. We need a horse racing track...hint...hint.

About horse tracks and dirt tracks - if I can figure out a good way to texture dirt, then it'll be on my short list of things to make. Up next might be a drag strip.
