This building is based on the smaller Air New Zealand Engineering Services hangar at Christchurch Airport, New Zealand. In real life the hangar is used for servicing of Air New Zealand's fleet of domestic turboprops such as the Bombardier Q300 and ATR-72. In the game, it is a ploppable I-HT lot, found at the top of the Airport Menu. The lot is set up so that one of three planes (Q300, ATR-72 or BAe-146) is showing in the hangar during the day, but at night the workers go home and shut-up shop, and the plane sits outside of the hangar. As this lot has I-HT jobs, it requires road access, power and water.
It provides 271 High Tech industrial jobs.
