Todays maps are courtesy of a request by GMT of a very large area of the Los Angeles basin, Thanks GMT. These could be joined in one really large map.
This part includes the mountains up the back incuding Mt San Antonio and Twin Peaks. San Bernardino and Yucaipa are about as far east as it goes. There is plenty of challenging terrain for ones hardy sims but also plenty of flat stuff for easy building of large cities.

This is a real world map and was produced with dem and satellite data. It requires Wouanagaine's mapper or terraformer to import it into SC4. It's in 16bits and .SC4M format. It is terrain and scale accurate. It measures 73.728km x 49.152km.
A free readme is included containing links and instructions.
