About This File

Cologne Cable launches team GT and is a stage 5 CAMeLot 10x6 IM$$ anchor, modeled on a large cable-storage facility erected in 1984 at the industrial complex of Carlswerk in Cologne-Mülheim, Germany. For non-CAM players, a ploppable version wih 1685 IM$$ jobs will also be installed and will appear in your Landmarks menu.

The BAT was created with 3DSMax 2010 and exported in Maxis-night version, and is modeled to scale—the actual building's footprint covers over 1½ soccer (football) fields. A prop pack containing HD cable spools and a scrapbin is also included in this package. This is a large lot to animate (23 empty tiles, to be exact), and the dreaded dependency list reflects that, but most should already be in your plugins folder. A Cleanitol file is also included in the zip to make life easier in this regard.

To grow this lot, create a single 10x6 tile high-density IND lot by pressing the "Ctrl" key when dragging your zone. Unless your city has a high unsatisfied IM demand, a large, stage 5 CAMeLot such as this will normally appear after several intermediate-stage lots have grown, and for the impatient among you, the aforementioned non-CAM Landmark plop will be available. Please note that sufficient IM demand must exist in your cities both to grow the lot and avoid abandonment of either version.

Full stats and dependency links are provided in the readme that accompanies the installer. Have fun!

Excellent! I've been looking out for this since I first lurked in your thread! Shame about the CAM (that's my opinion of course), but the ploppable makes up enough for that. The quality of the BAT & Lot means I have to give it a 5 regardless of my CAM dismay! Superb work.

Ah...I had been checking the LEX daily over the last week or so waiting for this beauty to pass through candidacy. Then, to my joyous surprise I find it over here ready to go...hooray! Great work!

Nicely done..and for you who do not know..to Un-CAM a building just open it up in either reader or sc4tool and change the growth stage and lower the capacity to suit NON CAM play.

Awesome job on everything! The lotting is fantastic, and those HD props really look sharp.

We simply can't get enough of large scale industrial lots - and this is a great one indeed!

Superb work! I would say revolutionary - it finally brings striking realism to modern industrial sector that has been left behind, till now, in a plastic toy land. I love how sparingly "dirt" all those overly popular distressings, had been dished out here. Truly tasteful work!

yet there are people who are apparently pretty skeptical about this release (judging by total score) yet, as always, they keep quiet. I guess envy has nothing to say...
