PEG UT Large Subway Plaza  1.0

About This File

This PEG Utopia Series lot is a larger version of the game-default subway station. It uses an open, subterranean plaza-like style to provide a glimpse into your city's underground world.

The lot is 3x3 tiles in size... which should make it much easier to find amid large groupings of sky-rises.The costs are doubled... from §500/20 to §1,000/40... as are most of the other properties such as power/water usage and pollution (which is still minimal). However, the capacity is increased 150% from 2,000 to 5,000... and the number of jobs is significantly higher to reflect employment in the included shops.

As an added bonus, it also has the same properties as a medium-sized plaza. It is not only an improved transportation station... but it will also promote desirability and growth in the area.

* The lot uses timed props to simulate the coming and going of the subway train. The train cycles on & off (or in & out, if you prefer) every 4 hours game time.

* The model is extensively nite lighted. The subway train is a visual element only and not part of your actual subway network. The model can be rotated when plopped to align with the connecting subway tunnel but this is not required.

To simulate a real train, just use a customized LOD to have a proper 3D underground with negative Y-coodinates, transit-enable it using el-rail paths with customized SC4PATHs that form a loop at each end of the LOT. This solution works well for example on the GLR ramp.

caspervg: You were expecting "Utopia" to be dirty? Tsk-tsk!! Dirt was outlawed in Utopia years ago... back when it was called Dirtopia. As it got cleaner, the name was changed to Tidyopia. It didn't become Utopia until they enacted the city ordinance requiring everyone to make their beds each morning & clean their rooms.

io_bg must live in dystopian Tokeo or something, because that is a fantastic subway train! I bet io_bg hates America too. Just a guess.

...and all the boys willingly shower everyday, with soap, put their wet towel in the laundry hamper (never leaving it on the carpet in the bedroom), and put their clean pile of folded laundry neatly away in their drawers without being asked... I love Utopia!
