About This File

HIDP (Heavy Industry Development Pack)

Is a large project that relies on making lots and BATs of any type and function to enlarge the possibilities of making (or trying to) realistic large industrial districts.

Those heavy ironworks are coupled with several steelmaking facilities, like 2 BOF shops, an open hearth furnace and an electric melt shop. It also includes gas washing facilities, water aerators and recirculators, a gas holder and a slag dumping pit. The props are nightlighted and show the inner processes of the given buildings.

The lot is transit enabled and "rather" big, so reserve some spare land for it :P

STATS:

Lot Size: 9x31

Plop Cost: 22000

-INSTALLATION-

Installation: Copy/extract the BLaM parent folder into your plugins. If you extracted the ~Documents folder into your plugins, too, it's highly recommended to keep it, but move it out of the Plugins folder.

Un-Installing: To un-install the files, simply bulldoze every lot from this download in your cities and delete the files from the plugins folder afterwards.

To avoid conflicts, please, it is highly recommended to use any of the third party cleanitol tools and remove any previous versions from your plugins. In the ~Documents folder in the main ZIP you can find a Cleanitol_Fukuda_Jamison_Steel_Mill.txt file and by using either the newer nos.17's SC4 Cleanitol or the older BSC Cleanitol tool you can search and remove old and outdated versions of these files.

The restored pack after the site crash.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

  • The lot has been completely updated.

  • All the stats have been recalculated using PIM-X based on this change.
  • The lot used the older version of the NCD Railyard Texture set with the old/obsolete ID scheme, therefore all the textures were replaced with the ones using the correct IDs.

By the power invested in me, I dub this wonderful industrial lot Perfect in EVERY way! I love the way you made it look rusty, as do some galvanized iron does and that you took a HUGE amount of time to make sure every piece of this work of art is perfect. Well done!

Seems like you're the only guy in BLaM Who's still worth downloading from Fukie =D Think i'd rather download this rather than relotted towers clashing completely with the lot.

Looks good in my game but I am having problems with 1) any jobs being produced--the query box in my game just says "0/0." Also 2) I can't link RR tracks up on one side of the project. Are others having similar problems, or is it just me? Anyway, the creation certainly deserves a solid "10" rating if these aspects are working for others. For me right now, it's good eye candy.

I can't seem to get it at all. I've installed (and reinstalled) all of the necessary files to the plugins folder, but I cannot find it in the game. I've looked carefully a couple of times in my Landmarks, but it's not there. Pics look beautiful, though - any suggestions?

Wow this is huge! It looks great in the game. I had to bulldoze 8 blocks of industry to find a place for it. Then dug tunnels for my roads. But then after I got it built there were no jobs! The game tells me 0/0 jobs. If no one is working there yet shouldn't it just say 0/2500 jobs? Any one else notice this?

Yes, my comment right above yours takes note of this. I think people aren't noticing the flaw, just assuming it's providing the jobs. I agree, though, that it's a splendid industrial addition, hope this can be fixed to make it better.
