"Maxis buildings also make this CJ looks a bit worse. How about downloading some more Team Grater buildings, which IMO are perfect for an American city?" -You my sir, are a god. These are happy tears falling from my eyes. lol. Grater references aside, Good reviews from you nihon and shinguire.

well, if you didnt notice already, i don't really post here or review at all. In fact, I hardly even think of this thread. It was fun for a while, but think its best I hand the reigns to someone who is going to put some effort into it. Im handing over the reigns to the first critic that says they want them, but you have to be part of the team to take over. Good luck to whomever leads next!

^ haha my influence extends beyond my physical existance. GTR: Greater Terran Region a review by patriots All CJ's can be classified into two categories. Playing the game, or making a city. The difference? The first you micromanage the functions of the city, and the second you micromanage the asthetics of the city. One aims to accomplish a big, functioning city, the other aims to create a specific looking city. Greater Terran Region is one of those CJs that falls into the first category. Authored by Haljackey, an ST veteran, this CJ showcases a massive overwhelming region that contains thousands of skyscrapers. Easily, there are more skyscrapers in this one region then there are in all of north america. When it comes to playing the game, GTR is nearly flawless. The city is massive, yet its pristine buildings remain unabandoned and its transportation is planned brilliantly. Although it functions like a beauty, greater terran could use some improvements in the looks department. For example, you can find multiple instances of repitition in the same photos. Easiest way to fix this would be to delete the second and third versions of buildings and wait for a new unique building to grow. The city is very hectic and often confusing. There appears to be no "districts", just a massive clump of skyscrapers. GTR has a lot of beautiful close ups, such as a picture with a rail bridge being sandwiched between two highway bridges, however, from faraway, the city is, as previously stated, hectic and confusing. My biggest suggstion would be to pay attention to the asthetics a bit more, maybe mix in some midrises, parks, and w2w blocks in the massive skyscraper supercity. Haljackeys biggest strength is his/her incredible transportation networks. Haljackey makes brilliant interchanges and intersections that imo define the CJ. To sum it up GTR is one of those CJ's that is an impressive example of talented gameplay, but does not realize its full potential in the looks department. With a few changes throughout the city, this CJ could easily stand out from the crowd. Alfred Linky:https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=36&threadid=95625&STARTPAGE=26

Nawako by nihonkarenws Nawako is a 5 month old project by Nihonkaranws. It is a CJ that has some good shots, and also some things that could be worked on. The organization is good, as you would expect from any sort of union CJ (this once being COFR). The city building could be worked on some more, exspecially in the downtown. There is a lot of repeating maxis, and the transition from super dense core to suburban sprawl occurs in one second. Nawako has some flaws, but it also has some pluses. The government area with the emperors palace is very pretty and well done. Both up close, and from afar, it begs for you attention with great usage of custom content and japanese architecture.Another plus would be the nashari suburbs. It may be that very few CJs build districts with traditional japanese homes and buildings, but this district will grab yourattention and never let go. Nihon still has a lot of holes in his city building, but his journal is very enjoyable. The Japanese districts provide a refreshing releif from the american/european styles most common on ST, and some areas like the spaceport and the seaport aren't exactly realistic, but are loads of fun to gawk at. The main flaw in this journal however is the downtown building. The downtowns are very unrealistic, supercity style, but that isn't really a problem. Maxis repitition is. Our least favorite building, that annoying blue/purple maxis CO$$ one that grows everywhere and anywhere constantly shows up in the downtowns. As I said before, the transitions from core to suburbs is way too sudden. My suggestion to nihon would be to bulldoze any repitition that grows, and to add midrises and apartment buildings around the downtown to slow down the transition. Back out in the wild, this CJ becomes very enjoyable again. Nihon makes some great nature shots and rural shots. Just one suggestion here. Use the zoneria cheat to turn off zones. Moving on in the journal, I see a much better downtown for Pankun City. He hasn't even read the review and his downtowns are improving. Nawako is still a CJ for improvements, but it is a standout in a very rare style over here at ST. Many of the pics will capture your interest, and with some more good CBDs, this journal could really take off. Great work nihon. (p.s.: good use of custom content ) btw, my pic order was a little off. the last downtown is what it looked like at the beginning, and the middle is what they look like now. I wanted to show the improvement but, my order was a bit messed up
