About This File

Central Plaza

B.A.T. created by paulvmontfort
Modding, lots & readme by T Wrecks

Updated!!

This file has been updated to solve some problems including the black nightlightes on zoom 3! It is preferred that if you already have this building, you remove all files before you update!

This is an accurate recreation of Central Plaza, the second tallest building in Hong Kong. And because of its triangular shape it's perfect for putting it along diagonal roads.

STATS

In the following lists, you will find all game-relevant stats and values of the different versions. This building has been carefully tweaked to match standard Maxis buildings as closely as possible, so that it doesn't unbalance the game or cause any undesired effects.

GROWABLE CO-§§§ VERSIONS ( high-wealthcommercial )

This version can be built automatically by your sims if the required growth stage is reached, the correct tileset is active, appropriate zoning is provided and favourable growth conditions apply (attractivity, demand) - just like any in-game growable building.

Occupants: 5,755 CO§§§

Flammability: 40 / Stage 5

PLOPPABLECO-§§§ VERSIONS ( high-wealth commercial )

This version can be plopped like a landmark, and it's not very cheap - you gotta earn it first! ;o) However, once plopped, it doesn't cost monthly mainte, but instead behaves like a normal growable building, i.e. it provides jobs and generates income.

Lot Size: 1x5
Occupants: 5,755 CO§§§
Plop Cost: § 168,000

Flammability:40 / Stage 5

Worth / Bulldoze Cost: § 2,402
Value / Taxable Income: § 40,398

Power Consumed:278 MWh/month
Water Consumed:2978 gallons/month

Air Pollution:19 /6 tiles
Water Pollution:19 /7 tiles
Garbage:6 tons

LANDMARK VERSION

This version behaves just like any normal landmark: While it doesn't provide any jobs, it increases attractivity for commercial buildings. In exchange, it causes some maintenance costs.

Lot Size: 1x5
Landmark Effect: +80 /28 tiles
Park Effect: none
Mayor Rating Effect: 10 /256

Plop Cost: § 150,000
Monthly Maintenance Cost: § 280

Flammability:40 / Stage 5

Worth / Bulldoze Cost: § 2,402

Power Consumed:620 MWh/month
Water Consumed:1375 gallons/month

Air Pollution:8 / 6 tiles
Water Pollution:8 / 7 tiles
Garbage:34 tons

*: Building overhangs the lot by approx. 2 tiles on both sides. It is recommended to leave some open space, plop the building at the desired position, and fill the space around the building as you like before developing the surrounding area. Plopping this building into the middle of a fully developed area could result in undesired glitches and visual (not technical!) conflicts with adjacent buildings, networks and developments.

Both ploppable and landmark lot share the same basic lot design.

This tower includes filler tiles to fill up empty space underneath the tower.

There aren't any dependencies

Hi paulvmontfort, this looks beautiful! Very nice. I just wonder how the plopable version will fit on 1x5 tiles :-))

While I'm not generally into skyscrapers, this one is too good, not to have. Excellent job!
