About This File

This is a re-release of the original PEG Rock Mod - designed to replace that  "Chiseled Mud" look of the game's default rock terrain. Now you can choose a rock terrain that is more appropriate for your region. Why settle for that ugly brown crud... when you can have beautiful colored rock gracing your cliffs and mountains. Transform the appearance of your entire region with the simple install of a single DAT file.

The install contains 6 different styles to choose from. This is a classic "Highlander Mod" in that 'there can be only one...". All 6 styles will be installed but only one can exist in your Plugins folder at a time. You will need to manually remove the one's you don't wish to use.

Each mod contains new texture files that overwrite the game's default rock textures. You can return to using the default textures at any time by simply removing the DAT file from your Plugins folder.

* Some textures work better with smoother terrain while others are better for terrain with more jagged & sharper edges. Also, some look best when zoomed-in while others appear more natural when zoomed out. You will want to experiment and decide which style is best for you and the way you play your game.

All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

Another great "simple" solution to make the game look better by PEG. I am really jealous of your skills ;-)

As usual, Kind Sir, your work exemplifies your exquisite skill in manipulating and creating SC4 objects. Quite excellent work. In other words, YOU ROCK!!

You certainly have been busy lately ... to our benefit for sure. With all the great custom stuff being produced lately by you and the other elite, who cares if Maxis doesn't release an SC5.

First of all: THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU!!! Did I say thankyou? Good. This was one of the things I missed first time around and lately I've been thinking about how much I could use this. I only wish it had been re-released BEFORE I'd rendered my current region...

Yeah I couldn't get it to work either. I just put one of the textures in my plugins folder and started the game and nothing. So a pending 10/10 from me.

akerkhecker: If you are using the original snow-capped mountain mod, that could be the problem. It overwrites the Rock Mod so you wouldn't notice it. I'm There is a newer version of the Snow-Capped mod included in an Artic mod that I believe is in the Modds section of the Download section.
