Every time I try to run a game with it substituted in, it prtoduces garbage on that part of the screen then the game crashes. Anyone got any ideas??? Grimsby is now one of the most depressed towns due to the collapse of the fishing trade... but in its time the fishing trade spawned many spin-off industries such as Keith Graham, a fish curing plant on Cross Street down by the docks.

  7. The SimCity 2000 Advisors

Who were the original advisors in SimCity 2000, and what became of them? I know that the Fire Chief was the Group Chief Accountant of Maxis at the time, and who, probably got the boot when Maxis were taken over... so who were they all and what became of them?
  8. Every time I try to substitute my BAT building "Blandford Street" into a game, it now produces garbage on those squres then crashes the game when I move the cursor. I have tried reloading, ever deleting a single square and putting it back, but it still just keeps doing the same. When a different building is substituted in, like the Antriquarian bookshop, the problem disappears. This building took nearly a week of my time. Does anyone have any ideas how to save it? Or can someone reedit it to be safe? I thank you in advance of your learned help. Robert

  10. The Barley Mow

You are very, very kind. It has a sort of off-white stucco, yellowed with age, so I tried using something that looked a bit like sandstone.

I began working on this Pub in Bedford, England as it seemed to represent a specific style of Mock Tudor, common in 1930s and 1950s England. Not until I was nearing completion did I realise that it is a landmark, being the longest established gay bar in Britain. Then again, considering the monumental rate at which even high traffic pubs are closing due to the severely adverse tax and regulatory regime that they face in Britain, it is clear that, increasingly, only Specialist pubs, are likely to have much of a chance of survival.

This traditional British style fish and chip shop is closely modeled on the Tasry Tuck Fish Bar, a popular venue in Tavistock Road, Bedford, England.

Closely based on "The Palais" in Dennistoun, a working class suburb of Glasgow. Built in the early 20th Century as a dance hall, it later became a rollerskating rink. At the end of its life it became a supermarket.
  15. The House On Frontenac Street

I am surprised at how nice this looks! Over 60% of all crime in Canada occurs with three separate square miles. One of those is downtown Hull in Quebec. And at it core is Rue Frontenac and Rue St Jacques which holds the ominous distinction of being the last place in Canada where public executions were held. At the junction of these two roads stands this house, a tumbledown slum, almost always occupied by those with long criminal records and invariably spaced out on hard drugs.
  16. Hermes of Paris

    Version 1.0.0

Hermes of Paris is one of the most respected names in the fashion industry. From fine leather apparel to men's suit for Wall Street traders, from summer dresses to perfume, Hermes has only the best. But, shop with care, even their budget range of men's ties start at $325 each. The Hermes that I have completed is based on their store in Madison Avenue in downtown New York.

  19. Hi, I recreated the Aston Martin Lagonda factory to go with your cars, however many of the cars and symbols etc. do not work.  I press on them, but instead of illuminating, say, the cntre spot and the 3x3 squares where it is supposed to go, it simply illuminates a single dot and will not add the prop to the construction.  Some work, but many do not.

  21. Pontiac Ice

OK, so Pontiac Ice looks more ramshackle than most boarded up industrial sites than closed 20 years ago (and, yes, they do have trees growing through abandoned trucks, left to rust on site), however this small enterprise churns out an incredible 18 tons of ice each day which it supplies to hotels, restaurants, bars, ice cream manufacturers and, of course, ice machines at corner stores across the entire National Capital region in and around Ottawa. Indeed, the chances are that if you stop off at a hotel near Ottawa airport overnight, the chances are that it will be Pontiac Ice in the gin and tonic they serve you at the bar.
