Another random question... I'm doing a youtube tutorial and their route query tool gives them a number of people living in a particular building and the number of commuters. Mine doesn't give me the number of residents. Is there something I'm missing, a way to fix it, or what? Also, many thanks for all your answers, on this thread and others. I really appreciate it.

Ok, I still can't get cities to actually build. Nothing grows. Even when there is a very high demand, nothing grows. I put down park upon park, made boatloads of roads out of the city, and absolutely NOTHING grows. It's the same in two different cities. Help!

Do gardens lose "potency" after a given time? Should they be rebuilt every so often to keep their residential demand cap relief? Should the public buildings be rebuilt at any time?

I've started a city based off an online tutorial, and it involves boats. I cannot, for the world, find a place that will hold my docks. I've gone through every single tile on every single waterfront. The notification thing says to find a place where the footprint turns blue, but there isn't. No further instructions were given. It's on a bay/lake/river, and I can't get screenshots because reasons. Suggestions?

Hello, I'm a fairly new player, but have some basics down. Jobs has never been an issue, until my current city. I'm starting it like every other city I have ever had, and all my sims are apparently unemployed. Even going back to basics, starting with the same tutorial I started out with, doing exactly what always worked before, and no jobs. Some are due to a long commute, but I'm not placing my start-up residential any further out than I've done before. It's the same layout I've always started with, there is precisely nothing different about this start-up. Very frustrating. Suggestions?

I'm not familiar with much of anything at the moment. I've seen on tutorials that whole 'chat box' for lack of a better word, and their box's are all small enough to see what is going on behind them. I literally cannot see anything behind them, at all. Using roads is nearly impossible. Is that normal? -

Somewhere I saw a list of reward buildings that showed the entire building positives and negatives; why/where to build v. why not. Does anybody know a link that gives these descriptions?
