  1. in my city the line with more underground stations gets very low ridership in that underground section, while the other line with more above ground stations gets higher ridership, so it seems to be normal
  2. somehow connected to textures: I got this weird bug at tunnel portals, but only with single track, double tracks are fine as you can see:
  3. great to hear that, so you are talking about this one : with inspiration from this one? :
  4. There are several reasons why my proposed mod would still make a lot of sense: 1- simplicity and efficiency: a single mod with an interface in one place and only doing this one task. Same like the "local-only transport stations" mod did, but with extended functionality. And that mod even got implemented into vanilla with the mass transit update. 2: TMPE makes my traffic worse and for the advanced AI and DLS you need a strong computer. And I don't need any of its functions, only the one you mentioned, so this would be an incredibly unefficient way to do it. 3: IPT changes the interface and you have to manually choose the number of vehicles, both I don't want or need. 4: I don't want to go anywhere near the edge, I prefer to be closer to vanilla. 25 tiles is the maximum I would do. And this makes the number of needed mods for the workaround go up to 3... So to sum it up: it would be much easier with the mod I described and for many people that don't need or want the 3 other mods it would be very easy and efficient.
  5. My Idea: disable only specific outside connections for passenger and cargo train stations It would be very handy to have control over which of the (max) 4 outside connections a passenger station and also a cargo station can use. For every passenger and cargo station there would be an interface where you can enable or disable each of the (max) 4 outside connections individually and also a button to do it for all at once. Especially for freight this would make things a lot easier in many situations. You can see the simplified network of my city down below, in relation to that: If I would allow intercity trains at the northeast station they would also come from the west and southwest, traveling through the main station which results in a bottleneck there. this can only be solved by this possible mod so at the northeast station the intercity trains that stop there would only come from the north. So it would be really awesome if somebody likes the idea for this mod and can actually make it
  6. Amazing work as always! Really loving that tram stop transition
  7. I've done that right after the release and also marked everything as a favorite I wish there was a button for that, so you don't have to do that 9 times
  8. Thank you so much for all the effort you put into creating these great things for the community! Couldn't be happier about the result
  9. Great idea! I would also really like to build elevated networks above the median. But to not make it without any green stuff: there would probably be room at the sidewalks for midsize trees, if you don't have a bike lane. And maybe some smaller bushes at the edges of the median. This could also be done for a 48m road - he's already doing so many 64m roads haha
  10. regarding to zonable widths: Is there a technical reason why NEXT(2) Roads can do zoning with a multiple of 8m, not just 16m? Quote from Blaremc: "I can add 24m, 40m, 48m, 56m, etc. with zones"
  11. Ok then I will still be happy with it I think sorry for being too picky about the look of the node, I guess for more realistic train networks in general I have to play something like train fever. Just one last question: Do you know why the catenary masts at your wide station track didn't get replaced, although I'm using the "Catenary replacer" mod? As you can see in the screenshot above, the ones at the main line in the middle did get replaced correctly.
  12. Will it look a bit like this (minus the weird glitch and the platform of course) ? Although it's just the normal crossover + the through tracks, it looks kinda messy, because some rails intersect very close to each other. So as a "cleaner" solution I would actually prefer a crossover further out (to the right in the case of the picture) so it would be after the station tracks joined the main tracks. On one hand this would make the whole contraption a bit longer, but on the other hand more realistic (at my example station "Montabaur" its kinda the same) and overall just cleaner, as I already mentioned. btw: is it possible to make a station without any crossovers? It's stupid anyways to have this station as a terminus, because reversing trains would always block both main tracks. So without the crossover you could only use it as a stopping point beween at least two other stations. The nodes would look like the ones at your 4 stop tram station that I really like
  13. Omg that's perfect! So the missing texture for the bypass tracks will just about fit (in terms of width) where the platform would have been? I just wondered how it would look like at the nodes that connect it to the main tracks. Probably a bit like at your 4 stop tram exchange, but with an added double crossover?
  14. I knew you just had to like it haha As I said, I would recommend to remove the local track (platform 5) to make it more symmetrical etc. and not copy the station but just use it as an inspiration And take your time, If it comes out this year I'm happy haha
  15. This is Montabaur in Germany, it has 5 tracks: 2 for stopping highspeed trains, 2 for passing highspeed trains and one for local trains. You could just remove the local one and "copy" the side with just one side platform to the other side to make it symmetrical and simpler, resulting in 4 tracks. Oh and of course you would have to shorten the platforms a lot, the real ones are 400m long. link to google maps with some more pictures: https://goo.gl/maps/87GztNAAhxR2 additional pictures: http://www.bahnbilder.de/bild/deutschland~bahnhoefe-l---q~montabaur/147711/am-230806-rauscht-mit-hoher-geschwindigkeit.html http://www.krplan.de/0258fc97c40b5190b/0258fc97d20adf416.html http://www.montabaur.de/montabaur/de/WIRTSCHAFT & WOHNEN/Wirtschaft/ICE-Park Montabaur/ICE-Bahnhof - Regionalbahnhof/ http://reportak.de/?p=17944 s you can see that the whole station is elevated, but I'm sure it would also look good at ground level. The thing in front is the bus station. Two more stations with passing tracks that are also on the same route: Limburg Süd (ground level, just 4 tracks, simpler design): https://goo.gl/maps/wWSccmwL51N2 A mix between this one and the one above (Montabaur) would also be an option Siegburg/Bonn ( elevated, 6 tracks + 2 underground lightrail tracks): https://goo.gl/maps/uaukrBxHYyC
