  1. RLS Homes Suburban Collection

I'm starting to get tired of all these prop packs. The BATs are great but there should be one file which has all the dependancies in it. It takes a lot of time to chase down the damned things plus it gets kinda annoying to use only one prop pack for one or two lots... Great work otherwise!
  2. BTF Building

2x3? Just what I needed! Great work!
  3. Townhouse with parking lot

I think its some BATs put together. Could be better.
  4. Hello Everyone!

Hello all, I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself. I'm a 15 year old boy living in Winnipeg, Canada. I enjoy observing weather and I play about a dozen musical instruments including piano, fife, clarinet, drums and assorted percussion. Other interests I have include model trains, architecture, politics and computers. I'm thinking of becoming either a politician or a climatologist when I'm older. I might be a newbie to SimTropolis but I have several accounts at other forums such as SimCity Central, SimCity Empire and Pegasus Productions. I am the other of The Berlin Region, a successful city journal. It has over 10 000 views at SCC and was the most viewed thread at SCE with over 4000 views and I will soon be posting it here and possibly at PEGPROD. So, thanks for reading and look for my CJ!
  5. The Berlin Region

Now for the first saga of my CJ. This update will be more interesting than the last. Chapter 1/Saga 1 - Spandau: Disaster Strikes The year 119 wasn't a good one for Spandau. Even though the city was growing fast, many disasters postponed it's growth. To kick off the year on February 3rd a magnitude 7.2 earthquake rattled the southern industries of Spandau, destroying 21 buildings, killing 55 people and injuring 136 more. The total damage costs where at about 7000$. Here's some photos: The believed point of origin of the quake The damage Then around the middle of the year, on August 24th, forest fires broke out close to the southern neighbourhoods. No one was injured but an estimated 1000 trees burnt down to the ground. This considerably raised pollution and the air became much dirtier. Smog advisories where issued for the first time in Downtown Spandau. Here's some pics: The fires at full strength The aftermath Following the fires, on November 15th riots broke out in the southern section of town (where a lot of gangs live) . People were unhappy with the mayor's decision to raise taxes and increase police service. The result: nearly 300 rioters pushed over cars and set fires to nearby houses and shops. Police service was dispatched on the double. The riot took three hours to resolve. In all, 125 people were arrested, nine people were charged, four people died, 40 others were injured and over 10 000$ dollars of damage was done. Here's the visuals: The riot occured at around midnight and looked something like this... People were knocking over cars and setting houses on fire. In total, three homes were destroyed. The police dealt with the rioters but unfortunately, had to injure a few. In all, 30 police officers were involved and about 50 military personnel were called in from Konradshohe. A couple hours after the riot, the south end looked like this... When the year 120 came, citizens were packing their bags and heading off to greener pastures. The population of Spandau dropped immensely from 9300 to 2800 in the space of three months. This is what Spandau looked like: There was almost nothing left. Dilapidated buildings were everywhere, crooks ruled the streets, the financial situation was terrible, the high-tech people had left, the EL and subway weren't being used and worst of all, Spandau the town of pride, achievement and advancement was anything but. Was there hope? Most people didn't think so. Yet a few determined city councillors saw the silver lining amongst the clouds... Coming Up Next: Spandau: Can It Come Back to Life?
  6. The Berlin Region

What I did was I went to the CIA World Factbook and I looked up for information on Germany. Under the People section it mentions the population, age structure, religions and much more. Visit the link on the first post of this CJ for more info.
  7. Mystery Building: Canada

I'm also a proud Canadian! So I've got a few hi-rises. Mine aren't that easy...
  8. Official BAT Request Thread

I have a request. Many hi-rise buildings on the STEX are famous and originate from big cities. I'd like someone to BAT CanWest Global Place (formally TD Centre). It's Winnipegs' tallest building standing at 128 M or 33 floors. About 5000 people work in it and its a medium-wealth commercial office tower. I'd appreciate it, if someone would BAT it.
  9. Ocean Point

I agree. Looking great. However, I think the avenues and roads are a bit crazy. You might wanna fix those up.
  10. 2nd CJ: Portsmouth

The CDKs blend in well with PEGs food courts. Looks like this will be quite a fine CJ. One question: how did you change the colour of the highways?
  11. Panama : the new most livable city

Looks like a cool project. It going to be interesting to see how the undeveloped areas turn out.
  12. Masoria, Metroplex at Large

I think that you should have less pics per update (because it takes me a little while for all of them to load). I like the buildings in there and the canals. Very nice job!
  13. The Berlin Region

uncrazycooper:Yes i do remember (how could I forget?). Unfortunately SCE has been brought offline and Ninto has terminated it for good. FullStrenght:This CJ isn't exactly a replication of the real Berlin but the land around it is pretty similar and some of the neighbourhoods are named and based after real ones in Berlin. Local Yokel:A region pic will be seen in this update. Pepster:A lot of the data is educated guesses and based on real data from Germany (found at www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook). For unemplyment, what I did was calculate the amount of population from ages 20-60 and calculated the jobs available. I substracted the jobs from the the population and the calculator gave me a certain number. I divided that number by the age range population and it gave me a percent. The data was taken from five different cities. Thanks for all the comments! I am really surprised at the outcome. TBR was an old region built in SimCity 4 Vanilla with over 1 500 000 people. The new TBR is supposed to be more or less a makeover of the old one except with original ideas, different concepts, more transportation features and BATs. The first update won't have anything too exciting but I assure you, this CJ is definately not a disappointment. THE BERLIN REGION Chapter 1 - Let the Rebuilding Begin! Today is the beginning of the reconstruction of Berlin, except in RH. With more available BATs and expanded transportation options, Berlin is going to be redone while correcting the mistakes previously done in Vanill and adding new ideas and concepts. There will be no helping mods (industry quadrupler, coverage ring doubler, agricultural jobs boost etc.) and all the cities will be set to hard. My main goal here is to construct cities worth living in: no NJZ, low commute time, crime, unemployment, high health, education, demand, land value and population. Here's some pics of my work so far... TEGEL Tegel is a small agriculatural city with 11 700 people living in it. Nothing much here. Eastern Tegel where all the farms are situated The main townsite Satelite View KONRADSHOHE Konoradshohe is the largest city in Berlin so far with 38 800 people living in it. It's the main industrial center and is Berlin's largest exporter of gases and goods. However commercial jobs are slowly creeping up the scale. Here's the pics: The industrial section Downtown Satelite View SPANDAU Spandau is a very forward thinking town with about 9 300 people living in it. It's got a lot of commercial jobs and some high-wealth residences. Spandau has the most advanced commuting system: only city with EL and subway and a very extensive rail network. Here's some pics: The industrial section Downtown Algriculturural section and Splash Point Water Park, Spandau's feature attraction Satelite View It's amazing how somthing like this: May one day turn into something like this: Coming Up Next: Spandau: Disaster Strikes Your Feedback: How do you like the cities so far?

  15. Emerald Coast - my first CJ

Nice story line! Very interesting how its like a book with characters. Keep it up!
  16. The Berlin Region

Welcome to The Berlin Region! This City Journal has been a succes at SimCity Central (10 500 views) and SimCity Empire (most viewed thread on the site with 4300 views). The statistics will be updated as this CJ progresses. Also, a table of contents will be started in the near future after the first update.
  17. Metamorphoses Mutual

First BAT? Great job! I like the transparent black and the dome shape. Very nice!
  18. Trash Presort multiple sizes

Be quiet, Gamefreak. You have never realeased a lot on the STEX before so you have no idea how it works to make a lot. Before criticizing others like you usually do, think a little. In fact, these lots are very useful for realism. Maybe you should stop releasing your trash comments on the STEX.
  19. BSC Daeley Regional Tracking Mod

Looks like a great idea. But what about the Mac?
  20. Holiday Inn Express

    What about the Mac archive?
  21. Pedriana Plants Killer Modd
