It's somewhat of a cheat, but if you want your big cities to run efficiently with something as low cost as a Wind Turbine, the I suggest you give the Radical Ordinance mod a try: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/21318-radical-ordinance-v2-0/ If you want an all in one Water pump, power supply, air purifier & garbage handling facility that's INSANELY crazy then I suggest you get this awesome item: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/3627-ionic-fusor/

There is a Ground Heavy Rail to El-R connection piece here: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/4338-ground-rail-2-elevated-rail-transition/ But as the description & comments state, the thing is a bit buggy. There are these: EDIT: Fixed Links: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/26285-traffic-restriction-lots-for-nwm/ https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/3199-brf-urbanlegend-traffic-control-pack/ https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/14799-traffic-control-addon/ https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/13857-overhead-sign-traffic-control-pack/ Sorry about that.

Try this combo: Radical Ordinance V2.0 Ionic Fusor The Radical ordinance mod has an ordinance that lessens the impact of garbage & the ionic fusor functions kind of like a recycle facility in that it takes in garbage to produce electricity. I tell you even laying an in game or custom garbage handling facility becomes meaningless with these two in your plug-ins folder.

ErwinNegentig's Youtube Account got Suspended Again!?
CahosRahneVeloza posted a topic in Community Goings-on
Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, but seeing this is "SIMCity 4 General Discussions" section I thought it might be OK to post this here. ErwinNegentig was the reason I learned of SIMCity 4 custom content & Mods.... well actually a "related videos" link from one of SIMCity let's player MadMenyo's "Let's Play SIMCity 4" videos was how I got to know of ErwinNegentig LOL! So anyway, without ErwinNegentig I would have never learned of the NAM, & of awesome communities like Simtropolis, sc4devotion & SimPeg & now that all of his videos have been taken down & his account suspended... or worse deleted I am saddened as one of the most reliable tutorial makers &/or mod & custom content demonstrator has been taken off teh interwebz. Just two weeks ago I was watching his "How to build a Huge City" video for the nth time & I posted a comment that the Cousin Vinnie ordinance was better than any ol' money tree lot, Now as I was searching for the said video again I got greeted with Youtube's "This video was taken down because blah blah blah!" redirector & it made me go WTF!? Now apparently this also happened some time before (about his account getting suspended) so I am hoping he can put up his videos again some time soon as I owe a lot to him & his videos when it comes to how I play SIMCity 4 now -
ErwinNegentig's Youtube Account got Suspended Again!?
CahosRahneVeloza replied to CahosRahneVeloza's topic in Community Goings-on
Alright! He's back! http://www.youtube.com/user/ErwinNegentigNo2 But he's still using music from various artists on his videos. I'm afraid he'll get in trouble again if ever I owe guys like him & haljackey who showcase SC4 Custom Content on Youtube, otherwise I wouldn't know of SC4 Custom Content communities like simtroppolis, simpeg & sc4d at all.... and the un-modded game does feel dull & a bit difficult without custom content EDIT: Correction: I just read the comments section on his page & apparently this account was just made by one of Erwin's followers who was able to record & reupload copies of Erwin's videos. -
How about additional Bike paths styled Ped Mall tiles? I've used this mod from Deadwoods a while back because I do like the urban look. But, I kinda experienced the water graphics bug with this mod for some reason even though I have the listed dependencies.

What frustrates you about sim city 4
CahosRahneVeloza replied to Pasta-power's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Relax! This is not an FPS or WoW. It is a simulation and it takes all the leisure time you have if you let it. It is a time-eater, and gives you time to relax and problem solve at your leisure. The main goal is not to get a city with 5,000,000 Sims in it working their virtual fingers off. In fact, one of the beauties of this game is that it has no goal other than to not go bankrupt. Because it is a simulation, the bigger your city gets, the more it has to do, and therefore it seems slower. If you have a way to see your CPU activity, it will be around 100%, which means if you want to go faster you need a bigger machine. Put it in low gear, and take some time to enjoy the animation. There are interesting varmints in the trees. This is not a program for the now generation. It is designed to be a thoughtful, leisure, partial simulation of a city at Rush Hour. Take some time to problem solve, and try to get optimum solutions. There is enough perversity in the programming to make you think problems through more than once. Artificial Intelligence programs like this will drive you around the bend, if you let them. I'll bet you've never met the program called Eliza, which is a kind of shrink program that will take you to the next level of insanity. Among other things, SimCity 4 teaches patience, endurance, and problem solving. The worst part is that the problems are of your own making. And the best part is that it is fun, too. Very well said Good sir! And for the folks who make stunning City Journals, the game is their canvass with their creativity & vision as their paint & communities like simtropolis is their gallery where we get to see their hard work -
This mod will make it so that you do see more of the automata in game, but be warned as more automata means more resources are needed: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/23362-persistent-automata-mod/

@VicRusty: Do a search on SimPeg's "search bar" function (it's that search bar on the page's upper right portion) for "Scrabble Box". The first search result should be Paeng's thread. Go into that "Old Scrabble Box" thread & on the top-most post by Paeng you'll find loads of mini downloads & the third one (simcrowds) might be what you're looking for. EDIT: Addendum: Also, if you want beaches that visually have activity, then your best bed would be PEG's Beach Development Kit set as that set has timed prop SIMs that simulate a fun day at the beach. And you should get this wacky lot as well: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/1043-bonfire-party-at-the-beach/ And watch the timed prop SIMs have a night time party on the beach.

I hope you weren't banned over at SimPeg as a forbidden loading error could indicate that you might have been banned for something. But in most cases it could have been a DNS Server issue at your end. Try clearing your DNS Cache & see if that helps you out.

What you HATE about SC4...
CahosRahneVeloza replied to owenluby's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I hate the fact that they (the programming staff) made the in game Airports & Seaport as a single ploppable lot when the old zoneable seaport & airport system in SCIMCity 2000 was way better. I have not played SIMCity 3000 so I'm not sure if those were zoneable there too or not. The fact that UDI kinda sucks playability wise. Also had the perspective been made in the first person perspective just like in the "drive by" mode in the Playstation & I'm guessing on the PC/Mac ports as well, I'd probably enjoyed UDI a little more. The removal of Streams & river generators which were also available in SIMCity 2000 kinda sucks as well. -
Thanks for being patient with me Yarahi & I'm sorry for dragging that discussion for so long... Anyway, when in doubt go with Plan B or in this case option 2 I guess.
