Your cities are planned out so nicely. I love the look and feel that the transport networks give in relation to the different zones. Keep up the good work!

In my country, being relatively low on population, you can't get much past a large city. Auckland contains around 1/4th (1.5 million) of the entire population and I wouldn't like to live there. I'm from a relatively large city myself with only 120,000 people and that was too small for me. I've settled in Wellington, which is a large city with ~400,000 people and that suits me nicely. However, I think it would depend entirely of the culture of the city. I like the city I'm in now because it has such a rich and vibrant feel to it, with a progressive and liberal community where very little is out of place. In contrast, Auckland has a completely different feel. It has such a mundane, "typical" city feel; both with spaghetti junctions and grey high-rises. Maybe if New Zealand had a higher population, our vibrant towns could facilitate a rich city life. It would be great to live in somewhere like Paris or London though. Just for a bit.

This is crazy. I remember you starting this journal in 2010 and followed it for a bit. I also remember the journal where we followed a taxi around the city. Of course life got in the way a little and stopped looking on the site. I'm surprised it's still going to be honest! It looks great! Keep up the good work man.

I agree with hunkske, the highways look a bit cramped and unplanned. Especially by the Airport. Looks very confusing. Other than that, very good city so far! xD

I have been reading/searching through the forums lately and found a few topics about caps. For example:Commerce Caps. Apparently they stop the growth of your city or the demand... whatever. What I want to ask is: What are the caps, what do they do/what is the effect of them and how do I combat them? Your answers would be much appreciated, as I am semi-new to the game. Well SC4, I played SC3K for about 4 years. Thanks in advance.

I have this same problem! I made lots and lots of road/avenues/highways leaving the city, and the commute is still really long.
