Call me oblivious, but I reckon that 95% of what we call global warming is natural and that we may only be having a tiny effect on it (if anything)! Based on what Jasoncw said, how do you explain the Ice Age? How do you explain all of the Ice Ages that existed beforehand? Global Warming. If these theories are true then global warming has existed hundreds of millions of years before we existed! Science certainly helps our understanding of life, but maybe this time science is trying to prove too much.

I wouldn't use this myself as I personally think that the university is good as it is. Universities aren't exactly small and if they conduct science experiments how do you suggest they dispose of unwanted fumes without risking the health of the students. For global use on ST this could go well and is rather good. 7/10

While the BAT model itself isn't exactly fantastic (maybe something more elaborate like the in-game hydrogen power plant an using better textures) the idea is superb! It has great usage possibilities and also has the dangers of nuclear power. If only it could level the entire city if it exploded (as it is antimatter)

I stay inactive for way too long, I come back and find this little gem waiting for me to read in the Game Experiments forum! This is game changing stuff! This could change the face of industrial areas through numerous CJs! This is like one o the most beneficial tutorials to hit Simtropolis in a very long time! Truly remarkable discovery Starrdarcy! Thanks for sharing the knowledge

I found a picture of me just before my Year 11 Prom (Which was extremely tacky with BAD music, lucky for the swingball )

As Constantina says, Road Top Mass Transit is really the way to go! You get the reliable bus or subway services without wasting space for residential/commercial/industrial. If No Job zots come up, I usually fill them in with parks, which raises desirability.

In my honest opinion, you can't really write a tutorial on this subject as everyone has their own playing style. Heyden posted his tyle of play, but that is different to the way Shadow_Assasin plays, and that is different to how HandsOff plays, and that is different to how I play. Everyone makes a starter town in their own way, therefore there is no possible way as to write a tutorial on how to build one.

I only really use Gas and Solar power for small cities as their output is rather limited. For the Bigger cities you'll need to use Oil until you can get your paws on cleaner and less costly power (Nuclear is ideal but you do need to keep fire services very near to them). If you don't want the pollution, put the power plants in a neighbouring city and use a power line connection to transfer power from the plants between cities with no pollution at all! You won't need to play the power plant city either!
