Airport expressway extension under terminal...
rewright commented on rewright's City Journal Entry in Addison County (SC4)
Good question. With the population of the area almost a quarter of a million, and the large cargo facility, they needed two runways. In fact, the cargo company would not have located here without a second runway. They launch dozens of planes each day and need a dedicated runway. -

Great use of rocks, vegetation and water. Super nice! -
Wonderful job on creating a realistic natural environment. Everything is done so nicely with such detail that it's like looking at a photograph.

Downtown Brattleboro now...

Infamousjbe: The simple answer is yes. Most commercial is plopped, 3/4 of industrial is plopped, and residential is almost all grown. Thanks for the comments and for stopping by! -
Some of our large cities have moved their airports out away from the city. I think that makes sense many times for future growth. You're creating a super nice region!

Very nice work on the beaches. The liquid refreshments must be flowing freely by the looks of the lines at the port-a-potties!

MilitantRadical, on 25 Mar 2014 - 09:45 AM, said: Ah, some spice! I gotta track down where I got my waterlilies so I can pass them along to you. Hey, that would be very nice. Schriefer, on 25 Mar 2014 - 4:23 PM, said: Good update! Your work with MMPs is great! I'm learning to use them more. I've found a few MMP people I've started using. Benedict, on 28 Mar 2014 - 12:53 AM, said: Not sure how you produce such outstanding work week after week. Love it. That is very kind of you my friend. Thanks! Update: Deerfield is just South of Brattleboro is known for it's rivers, woodlands and farms. The old village has many of it's original buildings with some newer construction coming in. Shopping center and some technology industry. Variety of businesses moving in along the highway. The area's largest insurance company. Shopping center with out-parcels. Affordable housing. Crossroads with the new Commerce Parkway. Commerce Parkway winds around the country club. By for now... Dick- 3 Comments

Manipur - live next to the mountain !

I can't imagine someone trying to climb that mountain! -
That is a big university, and looks like it has something to offer to almost anyone.

This is a nice start, with a lot of interesting content. I liked the draw bridge, and that long building in the port is pretty cool! One thing you might consider is larger container storage yards. You'll find that most ports have acres of storage for containers.

It is the Olympic Terrain Mod. I had started with the Missouri Breaks Terrain Mod, but it keeps changing some of the textures from smooth to a puckered surface, though it looks more realistic over all IMO. Thanks for the visit!

A show and a little snack after, before the last train.

You have a nice variety of buildings, so don't worry about some repetition. Some of them I've not seen before so that is always a treat. Nice job.

Up in Maple Valley Plainfield is sometimes forgotten...
rewright posted a City Journal entry in Addison County (SC4)
Replies: Huston, on 13 Mar 2014 - 03:05 AM, said: Wow, that's one heck of a region view! So far so good and the town's development looks really amazing from that view. Seems as if it were an actual satellite photo Hey, thanks. It takes a while to get the natural elements in place so it will be some time before all the tiles are active. feeroz123, on 13 Mar 2014 - 07:36 AM, said: True. I think it will look great when all tiles are worked on. Good work rewright ! Thank you to the comments. I would like to stick with this map for a while. Just don't want it to become repetitious.. Schriefer, on 13 Mar 2014 - 09:25 AM, said: Looks nice. Thanks again! Pwel28, on 13 Mar 2014 - 10:19 AM, said: Very cool. Thanks for stopping by! Benedict, on 14 Mar 2014 - 10:02 AM, said: That looks amazing. I know it takes a lot of patience and skill to have such a seamless view across multiple tiles. I've worked out a method for continuing the forests into the neighboring tiles, but you may notice I've changed my forestation a bit and I hope it will lend itself to that seamless look. Thanks! Gugu3, on 16 Mar 2014 - 05:19 AM, said: Nice region shot! Thanks for the comment and stopping by! Update: Plainfield is one of those towns that kind of get forgotten when overshadowed by a larger neighbor, in this case Brattleboro which sits in the larger valley just over the mountains. It is mainly an agricultural center but has diversified it's economy in recent years to include more manufacturing and retail. The valley has a good road system and plenty of land for development. It has seen an increase in folks moving in from the larger towns around Brattleboro, finding this area to be a nice place to settle down. WPFD is the valley's only radio station and has a talk format in the morning, switching to classic rock in the afternoon. By for now... Dick -
