skyscrapers!..... How do I get them?
Frankie_Grove replied to skaaater's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Even with high populations, skyscrapers are difficult to get because they are so picky, I suggest checking pollution, traffic, and taxes before actually expecting skysrapers -

Regular Rush Hour isn't available anymore, you need to buy the Deluxe Edition Deluxe Edition= Sim City 4 + Rush Hour Expansion

Well, I had some great advice, but after i clicked reply the site went crazy. I will try again. Here's the deal, you demolished a large area of residential. Most of those residents were workers (They have to work you know) you destroyed their neighborhood. So, there goes a big chunck of your workforce. No Workforce=No Demand. You need that population, without it (as much as you hate slums) your city dies, as it can't get new industries or commerce. So you need to get them back! As for you budget, maybe you should delete those colleges, libraries and musems, if no one uses them, why place them? As for demand perhaps your high taxes? I suggest you pause the simulation, and try to think it through. Good Luck!!! Hope this helps -Frankie

How did someone make this?
Frankie_Grove replied to natedoggg's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
It's just too bad that you can't make pictures like that in SC4, it would be AWESOME if you could -
Boston Central Artery/Tunnel Project (Big Dig)
Frankie_Grove replied to blahdy's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
Nice, like those signs, to bad you don't spend this much time on other cities too -
Boston Central Artery/Tunnel Project (Big Dig)
Frankie_Grove replied to blahdy's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
The Boston Big Dig was the highway reconstruction in Boston right? I believe I saw something about it on the History Channel, Anyway, I like that bridge (cable-stayed right?) Looks more realistic than the in-game briges of that type. -
Call me stupid, but what trivia? and what risk? what is this exactly?

I really like those skywalks, very very cool, makes my cites look modern. So when are you releasing the second set?

Biggest Regional Population
Frankie_Grove replied to bharmala's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
You guys are crazy, most of my cities don't even hit 500,000, they usually die for no reason before that point. Reigonally maybe around 500,000, but this was before any mods/BAT's were put in my computer. Now, they just die around 100,000. -
Here's an idea: how about someone makes a new, more realistic spaceport, with a countdown timer, and a landing strip for the shuttles return, connected to the main biulding of course. It should also include the NASA warehouses nearby.
