Here are a few 'Before and After' pictures from my newest tile that give a little insight into how I do things in SC4 and Photoshop. The first thing I did was Terra-form the waterfront and connect the roads and canal to the adjoining tile. At this point some of the marinas had already been placed but I temporarily took them because I needed to reassign them which is why they aren't in this picture. After the main roads were set I selected and placed my non-functional landmarks. This tile was actually being designed long before reddonquixote released Q1 or the Melbourne Star but I had already planned to have them in this tile the moment I laid eyes on them. I had no idea how big Q1 was going to be, thankfully it was released at the perfect time and I had the right spot for it. I originally used the British Airways London Eye as a placeholder for the Melbourne Star and it looked great but it was totally different and the night lighting wasn't as spectacular. When it came to zoning I started by choosing the locations of my principle functional landmarks, to eventually just determining a size and filling out the space. As I go along i fill unused spaces with parks and parking lots. For this tile I went nuts using paeng's Streetside Diagonal Parking. This is what my tile looked like right before pressing the play button: Everything went fairly smoothly except I forgot to build one essential thing at the beginning which dragged down the safety and land value rating of my tile. It was a Fire House. I found that out after my hospital burned down. It was pretty hilarious. There was also a sea to air airport I ended up getting rid of because it got dilapidated too quickly and didn't look nice. Even though a lot of areas were zoned there is still a lot of plopping involved as I let the city grow. I have a ton of BATs and certain things grow like wildfire so I have to go in there and micromanage a little, especially when it comes to residential buildings. The picture below is what my tile looks like at 100% completion. Before Photoshop: You can see that OlScare/Benoit's Marinas lack night lights and the water lacks texture and luminescence. Also, certain lit objects like trees and lamps don't seem to bounce light off of anything. I tend to start with the water effect. To do that I use the picture of a nebula or a starry sky and I apply an Ocean Ripple effect on it. Then I set the layer of the nebula to screen and I meticulously cut out all the objects it overlaps. Once that is complete I set the layer to 60-65% opacity and mess around with the levels to get the right amount of darkness and translucence. The next thing I do is create my light layer by copying the image and putting it in the background. My light layer is just a super brightened layer that is extra yellow and orange to imitate that night light glow. Sometimes I make it a white or blue. It depends on the mood. Then I go back to my main layer with a feathered eraser and poke holes where I think there should be more light. I like to darken my image a bit and add more contrast with the levels. I also like to play with the color balance a little. I tend to add a bit more yellow and orange as well as tone down the blue to counter that Maxis Night just a little bit. Finally I add the clouds in a new layer. They are just simple brushes I downloaded, no skill there. I've also been adding little lens-flares to lamps here and there, but I didn't do that in this picture because there aren't any that needed it. The key to lens flares is that they shouldn't be too in your face. Of course I've flouted that rule and gone J.J. Abrams many times, but I still find the best lens-flares are the ones that feel natural and don't draw too much attention to themselves. After Photoshop: Comments, suggestions, and questions are always appreciated. Thanks for visiting. Schulmanator: You put me in the mood for a vacation for sure!!! Time to pack my bags! Come on down Schulmanator. You'll get VIP service everywhere you go. Ln X: Amazing pictures and a great night scene, the reflections from the water are really cool. My only slight complaint would be the photoshopped clouds. The problem is they are too small, at these close zooms, and thus it gives the appearance of bands of cloud-shaped fog rolling in over the ground. I think the clouds should be bigger and the transition from white cloud to barely opaque should be greater. Because that is what it would look like from a distance high up in the sky. Thanks for calling me out on those clouds. Sometimes you get so close to a project you can't see the flaws. tankman: Wow what an amazing selection of pictures, your night images are probably some of the best. Golly, thanks. Making that Maxis Night work for me. TekindusT: OMG, perfection in 1080p!! Oh yeah! It's Next-Gen! Thanks. KonstantinII: For example, I find the facade or support of the Herald Sun tower looks a little old. Where did you get those new boat lots starting from 3rd picture? The link goes to CJ, not a download page. When describing the interior of buildings such as Q1 you should include real life pictures of the rooms like you did in Avalon Your Guide to the Bicentennial. Other than that I can say I enjoyed this update, especially how you used the banners Thanks for your suggestions. The boat lots are from OlScare/Benoits French Riviera CJ entry. I linked to that entry because you need to see the list of dependencies and gather them before you download the lots. reddonquixote: This is wonderful work! As a BATer there's no greater compliment than having our work used in CJs so thank you so much for inviting me to come and look. I really like how you've done the water. (I actually really like the clouds too!) I'll try and visit more often Thanks for visiting and thanks again for all your great work. Our CJs wouldn't be the same without it. sarthakknight: holy biscuits with missile oh man 1080p its awesome im awestruck dude it was so clear !! 100 likes for it bro (if its possible) Ah, if only you could give 1000 likes, then I'd be king of the world mwhahahahah. Thanks. dabadon5: Wow built a better version of a city i was trying to build, nicely done Took me over a month to complete. Thanks. Magneto: Very impressive! Thanks for the invite. You're welcome, thanks again for your help. Neto Dari: The contrast of light in darkness of the night was very beautiful. Glad you thought so too, thanks. fan o SC4:Beautiful, stunning, these are understatements. Thank you very much. Hellken: One of your best works. Now I'm blushing, thanks. Huston: There are no words currently to describe how I feel about this update. :| Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Thanks. Benedict: Great update - and you're back at number one on BTT - well done. That took a while. I feel out of breath like I've just run a marathon. Thanks. Terring: Great work Hey Terring, thanks.

So, you might notice this update is a little short...and that it's been a while. I worked on this city for probably close to a good month or so once I finished Elmore, but about a month or so ago I must've moved some plugins around, because now when I go to load the city I get a CTD. I'd take the time to fix it, but quite honestly I have a pretty big plugins folder, and I've been really bogged down with real-life issues. I'm just starting summer from high school, but quite honestly I think it's more productive to spend my time working on Beaumont and other cities. Oakdale, for the most part, was probably about 95% complete anyways. So, you're only getting a couple pictures. I didn't take that many while I was working on it. The lone picture that's good enough. Enjoy the suburban sprawl, though! This is the best overview picture I have...it shows most of the city. That undeveloped area across the river eventually became mid-rises. I promise I've been working fairly hard in SimCity, and I'm glad to report that a fair amount of the greater Beaumont area is complete. Complete work includes a couple of large tiles (Elmore & Oakdale) and some other tiles I have some development on. I've also started a little on Beaumont, but I'm still building up the suburbs surrounding downtown. I've been bogged down with real-life issues, as well as a general lack of motivation after cranking out two big suburbs. I am working steadily, albeit slowly. I promise. Replies @Neto Dari: Thanks @Vitor13: I don't speak Spanish, but half of that survived the translator, and I think that was a compliment? Muchos Gracias? @feeroz123: When you get close to downtown, those wide roads really help traffic! And glad you like it! They're one of my favorite parts of Elmore. @IRE505: I'm not sure exactly, and I'm having computer issues so I can't check SC4 for any help, but if you search 'barge' on the STEX, or perhaps PLEX, I think you can find them relatively easily. (Don't hold me to that though) @paulmc: Thanks! @Tonraq: I love your stuff too! @sejr99999: Thanks a lot! I feel that they add uniqueness and give the neighborhoods a little bit of variety. @city89: The barge, again, should be able to be found on the STEX or PLEX by searching 'barge', and the bridge is also part of the latest NAM, I believe. @sarthakknight: Hey, we're a growing nation, we're always hiring!!

Thanks for the comments! I started yet again the region from scratch. I hope this time will be the good one. Today we're going to see a rural town called Hata. The railway stop here is a reverse one of the MiKa-Tetsu railway. Region view. A transport map (made in 5 minutes, sorry!) is available here Click for full size. I hope you liked the first update of the new region.

Alright... here's what a little digging brought up. Apparently the original Sherman Hotel did burn down in the Great Chicago fire of 1871. It was rebuilt as this beauty in 1873: In 1910 it was demolished and rebuilt again, and this is the iteration that you found, Darn: If you are interested in the history, this is a nice little re-cap: http://www.connectingthewindycity.com/2011/03/down-they-forgot-as-up-they-grew.html And here are all the images that I was able to round up: http://www.patsabin.com/illinois/sherman.jpg http://interactive.wttw.com/sites/default/files/loop_vLL5_LL.jpg http://www.chicagopostcardmuseum.org/images/20th_century/hotels/Hotel_Sherman_01_F.png http://editthisin.files.wordpress.com/2010/07/n008627.jpg http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LTnbdioIyEc/UPXH5KlBjKI/AAAAAAAAPoI/7dDhEpC4t4w/s1600/shermanmansard.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-VRnAvTn5qzs/TYk-XJqsbHI/AAAAAAAAB-8/6GTQhXkrr1o/s1600/sherman+house+site+1909+memory.loc.gov.jpg (construction pic) This page has a really great (high res) negative of the hotel... http://digital-libraries.saic.edu/cdm/singleitem/collection/mqc/id/29466/rec/29 I believe this is a book of the architects who built it, but I can't access the digital copy since my university days were ages ago http://books.google.com/books/about/Selected_Photographs_Illustrating_the_Wo.html?id=KohOAAAAYAAJ Hopefully that gives you something to start with. Let me know if you need any further research. Good luck! PS - Congrats on graduation! The best is yet to come EDIT: Here's a closeup I found of the entrance: http://www.gratis-webserver.de/botzleiner/data/kundendaten/200392/PC190_Hotel_Sherman_1930s.jpg

For the past few days I've been reverse engineering the SimCity Javascript files, and I'm starting to figure out what is possible and what isn't. SimCity uses Javascript only for the UI, however there does seem to be ways to change the simulation. So far I've figured how to retrieve data from the core game, referred to in the code as querying, but not how to modify anything. Instead of trying to teach everyone the way that SimCity's scripting works (because I don't know it very well yet, either) I've decided to start working on a mod called SimCity Script Extender, or SCSE. SCSE will provide simple APIs to mod developers that make working with SimCity's code much easier, and make mods that modify the game's scripts not interfere with each other. A simple use case of SCSE is displaying messages to the cheat console. Normally, this would require editing the SCRUI_min (or similar) JS file in SimCity_App.package. This method would only allow one mod to use the console, the one that loaded first. To prevent this, SCSE hooks its self into the console and exposes an API that can be used by any number of mods at the same time. Printing text to the console without SCSE requires replacing core game files. Printing text to the console with SCSE: SCSE.print("message"); This is obviously a very basic use case for SCSE, but the functionality it can provide will be growing as I better understand how SimCity's scripting works.

Overview ~ A world of water, islands and crime... Like Salacia, Trident is a planet of beauty and tropical wonders. However, harboring criminals fighting for real-estate, the similarities begin to end - Yet they begin to seem similar come the Reaper arrival, with the Alliance walking away from liberating the Hades Nexus. What becomes of this so called 'Paradise' now? Terring Thanks a lot Schulmanator Thanks, really is a good mission, chasing down the Shadowbroker Richie99 Haha, awesome, well hopefully I'll get to see it anyways -- and thanks tankmank Thanks, kind of an airport and a seaport merged dabadon5 DO IT. sarthakknight Thanks, and I'll think about. Though I haven't been much on unions lately spursrule14 Thanks _____________________________________________________________________ Note: Trident System, Reaper's arrival on the planet, city gets obliterated. No more no less. -- Wait a minute. There's more. In this update, I've made a bonus picture unrelated to the below update. It's set on an entirely different planet involving a certain group of people in a certain type of situation. You'll probably find this one picture more appealing than this actual episode [The picture is an episode of its own] . Spot the hidden picture, and to do that, you should be able to hover over a link to it. If you've found it, great job! If not, keep looking. And this time around, I'll be making it easy. Should be a pretty big link (an invisible 18x18 px. tile if you're wondering) _____________________________________________________________________ Home to criminals, crime-lords and the like, Trident is a world full of unethical practice and irrational people. With prime real-estate at the doorstep of millions that reside in the system, it's attracted big money from investors and prominent criminal symbols from across the galaxy. Cities have been even built out of the very high concentration of crime and illegals that Trident has been known to withold. But come the Reaper war, all that changes. Canna Island, owned by an affluent human criminal syndicate; it's been built out of stolen and laundered funds that have origins in disparate parts of the galaxy. In the possession of the syndicate, the funds have allowed them to build a small paradise of their own, catering to the criminal classes that own vast portions of the planet's 5% of total land. And despite all it's wealth, the island and it's inhabitants lack the ability to neutralize a landing Reaper. And with the Alliance abandoning the Hades Nexus, there's little help to reach the cities of this forsaken water world. ________________________________________________________

Well here comes a look at the spectacular southend of downtown. This end is the newer portion, and it shows extreame beauty: The Waterside- Downtown bridges both sides of the river, the stadium and many of the new skyscrapers are here. Also included is the new Bowerly Tower and Mall. Also here along the river are apartments and condows. Will pricy for even the lowest of income the views are amazing. Demanding the best views of the city is no easy task, but somehow its been pulled off. The Stadium- Truckman Arena- The football stadium is in the Waterside district. Here for a price a skybox gives a wonderful view of the game. Pumps under the building keep water from seeping into the basement level. Also in the building is a shopping center, complete with Sports gear, food, and trinkets. Night- Looking north at night the city is a glow in lights- Here Kings 50 sits, branching the city and its spectacular. See why people would want to live in the area? Beautiful.

Here are some random pics from in and around Rum Rock Harbor. Below is the interchange between Interstate 445 with Highway 6, and is also known as the "Road Rage Express". People throw up more birds than at a KFC. You're looking at Rum Rock Municipal Beach. It's considered one of the cleanest beaches in the world because they don't allow people from Oklahoma to swim there... Badum tish! What's the difference between industry in Rum Rock and a Kardashian sex tape? One is filthy, stinky, and has made thousands of people sick to their stomach. The other is the industry in Rum Rock... Badum tish! I'll be here all week. I finally finished the work around the baseball stadium. That tall building at the top of the picture is where they store all of the steroids for the players. The Ocean City Apartments have some of the best views in Rum Rock Harbor. Many of the residents have telescopes so they can observe the wildlife on the beach... and by wildlife, I mean girls in bikinis. And there's most of Rum Rock Harbor! That barge just dropped off a huge shipment of Ron Rico Rum, most of which will be purchased by the politicians and the baseball team. Took me hours to force all five of those puppies to grow so it would look like a unified apartment complex. I baked a lasagna and had a birthday by the time they popped up the way I wanted them to. It was worth the wait. Thanks for checking out my CJ. The first 100 people to leave a comment get a free download of that song "Let It Go" from the "Frozen" soundtrack.

@Bastet69008: Thank you! I have to say that this FAR runway is so classy...! @Benedict: Thanks! I bet the people would found the party anyways without using the lighthouse, but better making it sure! @KonstantinII: Thank you for your comment! Yes, it is one of the "landmarks" of the city, I'm so proud of it! @yayaya1: Thank you! Well, actually I learnt from the middle east masters. suplado!, _marsh_, TowerDude, elavery, Frogface; are some of the names to follow when going this style.. @MilitantRadical: Thanks for the compliments! @Prophet42: Thank you for commenting! You can get that Dubaiesque building here [link]. Check on the residential buildings section. @Tonraq: Thank you very much! @Fox: Thank you a lot for the comments! It is impressive to hear from you talking about stuff standing out, knowing your CJ... Thanks again! @dossenandrea: Thanks for commenting! You can get them here @Ln X: Thanks! An spectacular solution in a very easy process! Just plop & go! @gigius76: Thank you very much! @NMUSpidey: Thanks! I actually got the idea from these in-flight magazines. I tend to fly a bit these last times, and I'm getting to appreciate different in-flight magazines and different styles on them. This kind of interviews are frequently seen there; which are a perfect excuse to show off the city the interviewed person is in. @NielsC007: Thank you for your comment! @Ceafus 88: Wow, thanks! @sarthakknight: Thank you! You can get this map easily on the STEX, here "... but why did he brought me here, to that luxury hotel? Far from everything, far from home... As far as I know, he loves me but... sometimes it just looks he is ashamed of me..." ------------------------- "Well, these symposium in oil stuff guys are officially the loudest and rudest bunch of yokels I have ever served... Still three hours to go before leaving the restaurant... Be strong." --------------------------------------- "... again under the floodlights, one more night. I would love so much that all these stands were full of fans cheering me, to score a goal for my national team here in Al-Qurayyah, where we all work for so many hours and for that poor wages..." ------------------------------------- "I can't, I simply can't go anymore... Wake up at 5 am, reach home at 10 pm, not a single minute to rest, 16 hours constantly under pressure... this job is torturing me..." -------------------------------------- "... still can't believe we sold that trash like AAA bonds, all the mortgages on that packs were rotten! And well, I definately was the puppet who signed the transactions... I guess I'm done here." ----------------------------- "... we're just going to take them down. If they want to go to court, we will go, that's for sure. If they want war and don't sign the settlement, they will have war..." --------------------------- "... I never felt something like this, like about to explode of all the happiness I have inside. Continuing my construction on St. Ernest, I manage to get started on planning my city by receiving helpful information on some subjects. Thanks to MandelSoft for helping me on using RHW, I was able to use RHW in my city instead of maxis default freeway. But for now, I give you what I've done so far. Enjoy !

Replies rathefalcon: Thank you. sarthakknight: I wonder what other foreign SC4 sites are out there which contain large industrial buildings? NMUSpidey: I like to create it all, that's why I'm constantly switching from large cities, industrial areas, farmland, countryside, nature and back again. I get bored with doing the same thing twice. It's got to look different, every city must feel and look different. NeilsC007: Thanks. nath1980: I'm getting there, thanks for the comment. Update 29: Treblane University One thing which I really like are university grounds. Large green areas, dotted with a few carparks and campus sites. I walk around them in Durham and so Treblane University is an imitation of what I see on a daily basis. Treblane University and its grounds. I decided to build around the Vanilla SC4 university- next time I will use a custom university to create an even larger campus site. Fawlty Lake. Tower's Lake; named after the long shadows which cover it from the skyscrapers nearby. Collectively the two lakes are known as the Fawlty Tower's lakes. To the right is Sybil's Pond, this was formed by a cluster of springs beneath the pond. The campus grounds at the North are littered with meadows. These tree were cut down to make way for a new path and a basketball court. The Fawlty Towers Stadium. In the region some stadiums are virtually identical in design due to sport infrastructure plans of the former communist government. One stadium, one sport, one people. Those were the old days many dozens of years ago... Here marks the start of the M4, one of a few dozen motorways in the region. To the south of Treblane University is the Porcelain Bouvier suburb. It is home to all of those with wealth who prefer houses to high-rise flats. The Charles Xavier grammar school. And no- this is not where the X-men reside. /// Next time there will be another night-time entry, I just need to get to my rig which is back in Darlington- after my exams are over.

Choose the layout of the highway with roads. (No picture, it’s too simple) Then, with street tiles, level out the area you want the highway to be. This must be 4 tiles wide, for optimum effects. My ground is completely flat, so I don’t have to worry. You only need it for 4 tiles, if you like to make overpasses, and to keep it simpler. Then, whip out the hole digging lots. Demolish the street tiles first, though. Choose the one that is called sunken. Plop it every other tile, on BOTH sides. Drag through with roads. Now you have a pit for your sunken highway. I didn’t finish mine, but you can fully do your network. Make sure to level those edges, with street tiles. I also want to transition one side to an avenue, later. You’re almost done, now. Just drag the highway through your pit, and you have the basics. You can add some eye candy to your highway, now. I used the sunken highway eye candy kit, (http://www.simtropol...sunken&type=all) and retaining walls (http://www.simtropol...=walls&type=all). Here’s an example with the sunken highway eye candy kit! Overpasses This works best with retaining walls, and Pjot's add-on. Search Pjot on the STEX, and download the add-on. I will construct a road overpass, but you can construct any kind. Just use the other kind of puzzle piece. You can even construct pedestrian overpasses with the “Ped mall” button. First, build the sunken highway. Then, in the roads menu, click on the road puzzle piece tool. Cycle through with the tab button, until you find the OnSlope puzzle piece. You can use either the T one, or use the straight one. It depends on the situation. Place this on both sides. Note how I demolished my eye candy sides. Then, click on the road puzzle piece button again. Cycle through with the tab key, until you find the road over highway piece. Plop that in the middle of the pieces you made before. You are done with that overpass! Check it out! It looks real nice doesn’t it! Well, let’s add the side eye candy again. This time, it’s with retaining walls. Well, here is an example with sunken highways. The areas are not developed yet, but they will! It’s much more complete, and hopefully it’ll give you ideas for your cities!

Welcome back, Thanks for all the feedback so far. I've been noticing how people post replies to comments at the top of their entries and I'll start doing that next time. I've got a few things to do in Avalon before I can show it off but in the meanwhile lets have a look at a few Zones from Ionica. HUGE PICTURES INCOMING! Most of these Zones are on the outer edges of the city. I'll take better pictures of my region for more context next entry. These Zones still need a lot of work and most of them relatively new. Draconis Borg Entertainment Cube in one of the first few zones I built. I love this building cause it just looks so cool. A lot of my zones have one. Thebes One of my older zones. I used to use a lot of avenues and I would have neighborhoods surrounded by them, but I don't do that anymore. Olympus Not to be confused with Mount Olympus. Asclepius, one of the best hospitals in Ionica can be found here. This is the first Zone I build after completing Veritas (currently my densest zone). The streetcar line goes to North Veritas, but I have not yet constructed a Zone to the east of this one to continue it. Walter Pater Named after Walter Horatio Pater. Essayist, critic of art and literature, and writer of fiction. The place to find beach-side resorts and some of the best shopping in Ionica (at the beautiful PEG Utopian Mall canal) Sanctum Come watch a game of soccer at the Delphi Stadium, home of The Oracles. They're not the best team in Ionica, but it is hard to compete with Zones like Veritas and Avalon that have a lot more money to put into their teams. Foundation The statue of the first President of Ionica, John Patrick Mason, standing proudly over the Acheron river. This is one of the few Zones so far I've built on uneven/elevated terrain. The picture below this one is looks from west to east. I made a huge 4417x5451 mozaic of the Zone which I'll show in an entry specifically about Foundation.

It will be very familiar to those who love the genre, but it will also do new things and set its own priorities and focus areas: It will be a single-player game that works completely offline. The goal is to simulate one whole, huge region at once - no need for tiny city lots or artificial city interaction dynamics. It will be affordable and will not rely on DLC. Alpha and Beta versions will be available for a reduced price. Moddability will be a priority, not an afterthought. Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to Illium City's bid for the 2014 Alliance Games! Her Majesty, the Queen of the Kingdom of Illium, Skylar Nichole Sariah proudly welcomes you to our great Kingdom. On behalf of our Monarch and Leader, thank you for your consideration! As per bid guidelines, here is what we have to present! • It must be a city of at least 100,000 inhabitants | Illium City's population is 1.4 Million and growing! • It needs an adequate stadium | The AIN Games Complex is home to a half dozen stadiums and arenas • Your City needs an airport and well developed Mass transit | It has passenger and high speed rail running from the Airport, and a very thorough bus and metro system. • Your Bid needs a logo and a slogan | See below! • Your City needs adequate accommodation for athletes, spectators and journalists | The Arts/Suites district is home to "Hotel Row", a row of luxury suites and hotels able to house roughly 35,000 guests. The Complex's proximity to downtown and the Embassy Complex allows for quick access to more hotels and suites nearby. The City has invested heavily in housing for nearly a million visitors. Here is our logo! Here's an overview of the games complex. You can see our multiple stadiums, the rail station, and the districts and parks. (Click for MUCH larger view) Here's a view of a portion of the complex at night! Here we have the Arts and Suites Districts, home to Hotel Row, a small but popular beachfront, and the Opera House, with a beautiful coastwalk vista. Here we have the HSR terminal on the north side of the complex. This HSR terminal connects to both Downtown, the Embassy Complex and Sariah International Airport.

@Rufus, you might want to watch Skye Storme's video called Omegacow. It's a series. I've belt a few of these (before one way roads.) Lots of $ ...and all of the residential (and commercial and industrial) converts, with tons of gold converts. ;-) Title: SimCity 5 (2013) #36 ▶Omegacow (1) New Crazy Ideas

Wow! You are a beautiful person, and that building is just as beautiful. I can assure you that this is going to be the next thing I work on. I am super excited for this. The mansard roof is especially awesome. I didn't realize there were statues framing the arches. That will be an interesting challenge, and it will be an awesome replacement for the Thompson center in my recreation Seriously, thank you so much for this. It is going to be fast one of my favorite ex-buildings. Shinkansen: That's a shame Personally, old buildings are by far my favorite. I am a sucker for ornamentation and bricks.

Thank you for your feedback. Agrees with your opinion. To get a good quality for the railroad I need to change at least the existing tiles of railway. I want to get the opportunity to import my model in the game. But now it's not yet possible particular for the railroad (SimCityPak 0.3.1.0). At result my mesh has the wrong size. To get 1:1 size I need to export the Maxis mesh to Maya. What I want to get with textures only and extra low polycount:   This is possible in the SC2013 with new 3D mesh only (texture pack: dif+nm+spec 512x512 for all railway tiles).

I like them actually a lot but it seems like the gravel ones get lost due to the nature of the game.  You may want to add a little more shine to the metal and give it a little more contrast.   to bad they can't really be raised up more from the gravel   the track just seems to be getting lost in the gravel to me .. but again I do like them a lot..   course that may also be why maxis chose white rocks as if it was clean track not real track.   Edit: One thing I wish the community could do would be make realistic rail in the game with full loops and junctions etc.  However without core changes teleportation will always be used rather than making full loops or trips along rail.

The last picture about how a single person has to drive all around the highways make me laugh.   Good and intriguing seems you have to fix that highway issues

A great idea but horribly impractical. Vehicle tyres would grind down the bobbled surface of the solar road panels, making them both more opaque and making them very smooth. There is a reason why roads are not made out of glass! Good old bitumen roads not only endure, but the bitumen can be recycled and used to surface other roads.

I do intend to. Its the original Sherman hotel. And if I get references enough to accurately recreate it I'll make it pretty high on the list because its unique and beautiful. I am going to have some very unproductive and some very productive days for a while. Senior year just ended and there's a graduation party every other day. Also vacation.

There is no longer any image sizes limit, as everything is resized automatically at 800px. Speaking of work: And I fell asleep on this one. It has been fixed since:

Technically speaking, "£" is also a pound sign. Pound stirling to be exact About hashtags, I find them annoying when they are used outside of Twitter. And I don't even use Twitter #sarcastichastag

Article It might be surprising to people who have no disabilities, but being challenged (as the PC now puts it) is not the end of the world. Read the article to the end then comment. Over the years, I have become more and more disabled in various ways. All my life I have had rheumatoid arthritis that was undiagnosed and not treated until I was well into my forty's. Then it put me in the hospital, and now it is under fairly good control some thirty years later. However one of the control measures was the removal of the lining from my right knee cap because it was dumping too much fluid into the joint. Now, years later, this knee is also showing some serious osteoarthritis involvement, which is now under control, sort of. That's one! as they say. In 1988 I had a failed cataract replacement in my right eye. After a few years of fooling around trying to fix this, that eye is now blind. As a result I have no binary vision. That's two! I have a hereditary disposition towards hypertension and making too much cholesterol. This led to a triple arterial cardiac bypass in 2000. I am just fine thank you, but I live on heart and cholesterol controlling drugs. That's three! I am over 65, and guess what? I have benign prostate disease (enlarged prostate), so I am on a drug that inhibits testosterone production. It is good to be able to pee, even if I no longer have any libido. That's five! As a result of some of the drugs I am on to hold off my arthritis, I seem to be collecting fluid in my pericardium. Not much, at the moment, but I may have to have this sucked out eventually. That's six! Am I unhappy? Hell no. Each thing that doesn't kill me makes me stronger. I can't get around much, but I manage to live by myself and do what housekeeping needs to be done, and I have no appliances to assist my getting around. Be warned. The stats are saying people live longer. The longer you live, the more likely you are to find that you aren't all there any more. However, my goal is to live as least as long as my paternal grandmother who made it to 98 in full possession of her faculties then went out with a heart attack. Oh, yes, I seem to have forgotten that I am also on a steroid inhaler for my asthma. Guess that makes seven! I am paying the mortgage for my pharmacist.

But for the plane to be hijacked, land somewhere and stay hidden, that would seem to be beyond the capabilities of mere terrorists. Sounds like a conspiracy theory to me...

Haha nice. How did you achieve that statue glow effect? A bit of brush work and a smoke effect mixed with green outerglow in Photoshop. From my CJ entry: Wild for the Night
