The various methods of access create focal point for all races and religions to come together in a fondue of peace, but the radiation is the pestilence of our nature lasting millennia on end. I fear I must cut my praise short, the tears of joy are trickling down my cheek and my hyperventilation from the excitement is making me light headed. I bid you, sweet Nuclear Starbucks, adieu.

In all of my days I have not set my eyes upon something so beautiful. The shimmering golder pillar in a gilded moat speaks of the difficulty of life and the hardship that is the human condition. The monoliths leading to the throne of Nuclear Starbucks stir the emotions, beckoning to happier days.

How many traffic jams does this cause?

I think it's just a masterpiece of modern art. Shunning the hatred of the world and looking into the future with a sense of hope. B)

im sorry, is it just me? i have been playing around with batting for a bit now and have never made anything worth uploading...so i don't. the stex has a broadband limit as far as i understand, so i don't waste it. i don't mean to be harsh. seems like you have the right idea, but have a long way to go. maybe open a thread? i live and breathe on those for advice (though i rarely say anything, i just learn)

But OMGz you have epic skillz in keeping the dependencies so low. How do you manage it for such an amazing work?
  8. 11 points
This the best, but it needs more dependencies. This is the best BAT of 2010 1000000000000/5

This looks good, if it works. Most freight in my area is interstate, so we get ridiculously long trains blocking level crossings. But i' m not gonna vote til i know it works, and i wont test it til morning, but if it does, you'll get 5 stars from me.

i think it's quite realistic, the Maxis trains are pathetically short and completelly unrealistic.

Everybody, would you please stop making those totally nonsensical comments about "wasting STEX bandwidth"? Bandwidth is needed for data transfers, so if anyone uploads something that few people would want to download, it will quite logically cause a negligible amount of data transfers. On another note, ANY download activity affects bandwidth, so the best way to "save STEX bandwidth" would be not to download at all, however much you like something.

why would you have a REAL plane at a residential shopping centre?
  18. 9 points
Ok, now there's a picture. But it's still something that anybody could make in the LE.
  19. 8 points
your main claim is that this new lot is more realistic... can you explain how do the cars get to the parking lot behind building? By jumping over?

It looks like quite a nice building, although some more pictures would be nice (night, lotted, closeup). Keep up the good work.

And the towns people rejoiced as they laid eyes upon the Nuclear Starbucks, a choir sang and banged cowbells, camera's flashed as all the world leader's signed a disarmament accord as doves flew above and world peace had finally been brought by the miraculous wonders of the Nuclear Starbucks.

He found a good picture! And it's actually not a bad idea either.

hmmm..... those pics remind me of the Angry penguins

To pick some examples, the question "Why is there a real airplane?" is a valid point of criticism, but "it should be called eye horror" is merely an insult.

On the other hand, for every 5 uploads you don't like, there may be the occasional odd stuff you DO happen to like, so the chance of finding such stuff here is the trade-off for the larger amount of files. Instead of complaining, you'd better offer help and constructive criticism.
  29. 8 points
If anything, less popular uploads occupy some server space (of which there is no lack!) and increase the number of files to choose from - that's where the STEX search, the rating system and your download finger come into the equation: They all act as filters. The STEX is an open exchange as per Dirktator's Decree, so learn to live with it.

Set up a thread on the forums, get feedback and help before you upload to the STEX. I know its your first upload, not doesn't help if you get all defensive over it.

This is highly commendable - anyone who sits down with the intent to create more variety in industry for this game should be applauded. Well worth the download and getting those dependencies! I don't download lots often, but these are must-haves...

It doesn't look like you have spent a lot of time on it. I'm sure anyone could make something like this if they knew how to use these programs.

there is something very odd going on with lighting... and.. SketchUp is EVIL! People not think they don't actually need to do anything - just download someone's model press export bat button and voil

Why is it that some spam uploads are alowed, while others are shunned and then the uploaders banned? It makes no sense to me at all. Everyone praising this is a hypocrite.

I would really suggest a LOT thread, advice is the most usefull thing we can give. unfortunately i have too many problems with this to write them here, but if you had a thread i would comment. Good to see another person on the LOT and creative scene, i hope we can help you to improve.

open the image in paint (or, literally, ANY other program), and click "save as..." and re-save as a .jpg

This isnt half bad. I actually kinda like the building. But the lot isnt that great. You should download a bunch of texture packs and look at all the lot textures to choose from. Same goes with the props. But overall this is nice.
