    Yes redownload all the files.  The crp files aren't updated as often but I did update the main mod in the few moments that I was gathering the missing crp files.

    it works! depot with working lines! there's a underground, elevated, and ground level section on the line! I love it so far!

    It worked for me. I set up a 3-stop line and all of it worked. Not to be greedy but when do you plan to release station tracks for asset makers?

    I'm getting the weird error with the metro depot throwing an error, too... and I only just downloaded for the first time an hour ago.

    Will try redownloading.

    EDIT: @andreharv, you say that the Metro Overhaul Mod folder should be copied into the mods folder. However, there is no folder called Metro Overhaul Mod. There are, however, folders called MOM and Metro Overhaul, with Metro Overhaul being nested inside MOM. Which one should be where?

    EDIT2: Just to be clear, the folder should have a size of 25541 KB, right?

    EDIT3: Just adding this from the debug output for good measure:

    EDIT4: After some more testing, it seems that the mod doesn't do anything at all for me. The tracks don't appear, the depot doesn't appear, nothing that should be included appears and the station doesn't have extra-long platforms. I downloaded the MOM folder, then took the Metro Overhaul folder out and put it into /addons/mods, then took the 4 .crp files and put them into /addons/assets.

    EDIT5: Disregard everything in this post. I forgot to check the mod off in the Content Manager.

    Couldn't trick the game with ground metro tracks in stations. I guess I have to wait for station tracks to finish stations.

    I'm doing some fast testing right now, so this is going to be updated if I come across something:

    • I dunno if it was already mentioned as an limitation, but existing subway stations from the workshop do not work. I cannot place them as they are either "out of city borders" or "distance too short" (also after activating some road anarchy mod). So just the stock metro station seems to work properly for now. It seems like your mod tries to replace the whole assets model instead of the track? Every subway station shows up as the vanilla building in the placement preview :???: . I was able to place just one of those assets - just see below.
    • It would be great if it would be possible to level-cross the normal heavy rail and tram networks. Tram seems to be possible but at least the model for that type of crossing isn't created (yeah, I know that's some DLC related stuff). I can confirm that trams work properly. Just their tracks end in front of an intersection :D
    • I'd not allow "2u 90° turns" for that network as there is no model for it and it's kinda unrealistic compared to real life (on my chicago L train I used a minimum of 6u / 48m for the tightest turns as the cars collide visually below that radius, but that's only some suggestion and not a bug ;) 
    • got some "path not found" error by trying to connect two stations - I gotta look into this! Got it! If you lay out the subway underground like a T-intersection it will not work. So that should be mentioned in the public release as it was possible with the vanilla subway ;) 
    • Using BloodyPenguins Transport Line Rendering Fix you are able to see the transport line properly ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=714056356&searchtext=rendering )
    • Some odd thing in my game: I can draw the underground portions properly out of stations without the track tending to go overground. Seems like some other mod causes this proper behavior. I came across this before as I used elevated heavy rail stations which had the same issue.
    • Even works good with Roads United: US :)
    • Works with boformers Network Skins (You've to toggle a road network before to get the panel showing up)
    • Trains don't feature proper headlights at night (light cones) - are those not set to the model, or are they not possible for this network?

    I kept getting ArrayIndexOutOfBounds exceptions whenever a metro train was present in the world. Since others don't seem to have problems I assume this is another mod like IPT causing them for some reason.

    And I was able to place a workshop station (was only subbed to one when testing) just fine, but it has a massive hole next to it.

    @accessviolation: That's the same station I posted above (first picture). The whole buildings model seems to be replaced by the stock stations model ;)

     

    I got about 5 subway stations and this is also the only one ploppable for me. The other's - as said - are not able to be plopped.

    Edit: I don't see such an error in my case. I can confirm the following, traffic changing mods are working properly with this alpha:

    • Improved Public Transport
    • Fine Road Tool
    • Traffic Manager: President Edition [of course you cannot change anything subway related using this right now]
    • Rush Hour

    Crap I meant to send a longer reply and forgot to hit reply (lost forever).  In a nutshell, the issue with the stations will be fixed as soon as I get home.  Essentially, I will stop screwing with the vanilla subway as it will work as is and make modifications to a new station.  That should fix the issues with custom stations.

    And some proof that even "Sharp Junction Angles" works like a charm on those tracks :)

    I'm having trouble with using this mod... 

    I made a new game to test this mod out but the buttons won't get clicked (Only the X sign and the load,save,new game sign works) I can't even check my keymapping setting to see if theres something that I've changed.... Also the scrolling for the camera won't work with me! help

    So I tested a bit more. Depot was in the menu, and I was able to place them both above, and under ground! (Amazing job on the track model, by the way! :thumb:)

    However, after creating a line I found that the trains themselves weren't spawning.  The IPT interface said that there were vehicles queued, but they weren't spawning. I assume it's just a bug, and I hope that it's easy to fix. I managed to snag a few pictures, and I must say that the bridge model is beautiful. Definitely an amazing addition to any city!

    @TransitAuthority: Did you check the "Depot" drop down menu of IPT? In your screenshot it says "Metro Station" instead of "Metro Depot" ;) - In my case it worked fine using the depot there ;)

    I think there are definitely some incompatibilities with this mod and Improved Public Transport.

    For one, there's an "ArrayOutOfBounds" Exception (or rather, an infinite amount of them that pop up every time you close them, basically crashing the game) when creating a line between two stations (one was the included one, the other an asset that was still placeable).

    Disabling IPT (all other things being equal) fixed the issue immediately.

    @Delta2k5 HA! That was probably it! :P Don't know why it would default to Metro Station though; Andreharv should look into that.

    @jonasbang69 No issue for me. IPT worked fine for me. It may be an exception being thrown by an asset.

    I cannot find anything incompatible in my case - I use IPT too. Also I started only new games for testing as an existing one keeps crashing (probably because of the not working workshop stations I placed in this city).

    Also, I think the depot issue is not caused by this alpha - As metro doesn't usually has depots in the game the creator of IPT (DontCryJustDie) might has programmed it this way. You gotta remember that this alpha kinda replaces the subways behavior :)

    So, using IPT I got 0 error-messages.

    Edit: I had some exceptions using "Don't Crash" after trying to load a game from the menu the second time - disabling it brought me back to normal.

    @Delta2k5 That's true. And same here - no issues so far. He probably has either some incompatible asset or some other mod.

    When I connect a line and complete line, there are some major error(pic), accordingly can't play the game.

    It solved by selecting depot to MetroDepot, but depot must be selected automaticly.

    I am so excited about rolling out of this mod, and I'm trying to help you.

    @kevin9448 It seems that quite a few are getting this error as well. Don't know what the cause is, but some are suggesting Improved Public Transit might be the problem if you have IPT, try disabling it and then doing this again.

    Yeah, I guess the reason for this error is that metro stations don't feature serializers anymore - so they are not able to spawn any vehicle. IPT tries to force the vehicle to spawn at the station, as it's programmed to do so - which does not work. So this error pops up after ;)

    Don't think so as if they were removed intentionally to avoid metro trains spawning at stations when one does not have IPT installed. Well, I'll leave it as it is for now as selecting the right depot isn't a big task ;)

    So am I the only one who has no problems whatsoever? No terrain glitches, No IPT bugs, No Errors...

    I have 65 of the most popular mods enabled. I have 2 stations and a depot, 3 M100's on a single line.

    Absolutely nothing happend, it was like the mod was part of the game, completely flawless.

    So if anyone want me to try something to see if it works, let me know

    Selecting the depot in IPT fixed the errors, thanks for that!

    I also had some spawning issues with trains despawning as soon as they appeared at the depot. Changing the track to a loop so the trains face the right way when arriving at the first station fixed it.

     

    EDIT: Opening the asset editor with the mod enabled gives me this:

    WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!1 ok now that I got that out of my system:

    Thanks guys for your dedication and testing.  I feel like I have gotten more accomplished within 24 hours thanks to your testing and feedback. 

    TBH, I suspect that a lot of lingering issues may have to do with the metro station bug.  Once that is fixed I will have you guys all re-up the Metro Overhaul folder again.

    I WILL NEED TO SUB IPT SINCE I HAVEN'T USED IT ONCE WITH THIS MOD...shame:(

    For ASSET CREATORS:  If the station tracks are not showing up in the asset editor, you can get to it from mod tools.  Just go to the MetroOverhaul...whatever in the left menu and within it you will see all the tracks including the station tracks.  To activate a station track, go to it and then it's TrainTrackStationAI or whatever and then inside of that in the main panel you will see something like m_info = "Blah".  To the right of that line should be a 'Plop' button.  clicking on that should give you a station.  If you select the Ground version, you can use pageup and pagedown to get elevated and subway station tracks (I think).  Super vague but I am sure you can feel your way from there lol.

    @wasmic I haven't forgotten about you.  Hit me up on steam later today or I will try to find you so we can go over your issues in detail.

    @Acc3ssViolation This is probably from the station bug.  Stay tuned.
