Title should be pretty self explanatory. With the release of After Dark only a few hours away, I figured we might as well have something ready. :)

Here you go. No CBD shot yet... too many dark assets.

That's why I still haven't played since the update yet....giving people a chance to update their assets!

There aren't a lot of assets that have got nightlights yet so almost all of this is vanilla stuff except for the train (which is kind of difficult to make out anyway :P ). Also a lot of city blocks still have to be filled in because there hasn't been a lot of time since release. However this patch is looking really good!

Here is my contribution this is Copper Valley, using Scotland Tom's Copper Creek map which I find one of the most used ones of all the maps I have, as you can see for me this is how dark it gets though this picture was taken at dawns early light but you get the idea.. :)

But I am loving it just got the new bus lane roads and the taxis cabs, I am so loving this xpac.. :)

Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

I love how Colossal Order wasn't afraid to make the nights look really dark. Night in SC2013 and SC4 were always a bit too bright in my opinion and you had to resort to mods to fix those problems. I am very happy with the way nights look now.

Yeah I love how it gets actually dark and not that twilight you got in other games.. But what I find ironic is that now we have got a fantastic night and day cycle, some folks are already complaining about it over at the paradox forums..

On other things it seems now days no matter what a developer does to try and make their game better there will always be those who complain..

Update: Here is Copper Valley slightly larger with about 20000 inhabitants, and the city is looking great, the small group of lights on the far right way in the distance is Copper Valley State Penitentiary currently it has 37 of 500 inmates..  But in all my city is coming along nicely.. :)

Just a quick series 4 shots from the border of Copper Valley as the sun goes down for another day, total pop at the moment is just under 34000, planning on putting a little town where the camera is positioned..  Interesting thing is that I am now noticing the game starting to lag when I get close to the center of the city..

View of the waterfront area of Marcel Beach, south of the City Centre. I'm hoping that creators eventually update my buildings for AD. They can just be seen against the night sky but it would be nice if they lit up and contributed to the night skyline. Loving the nighttime in game though.

Nice city, looks really good at night. I have to agree with you about nighttime looking really good in game. Especially the transition... is was really fun watching the lights flicker on for the first time in one of my cities. :D

Nice work!

Love rediscovering every part of my city all over again .. just spent an hour looking at different buildings from different angles to see how the light catches it and turns it in to something else..

What i've done so far. I heard that somebody think that the light are not sufisently bright. Look like realistic for me

Really love the sunset with the Millenium eye

The roof of the (really ot finished) city with one skyscraper. The idea was to do like in Paris with the Montparnasse.

Gosh the light pollution, it's terribly unfriendly to my local gang of seagulls.

This is a dangerous neighborhood called the Five Points. When I first established this district, the crime rate shot through the roof...lol

Five Points used to be a sort of ghetto in Denver in the 50s-90s. Did you steal the name from that?

Got from the movie "Gangs of New York" :D

Didn't know Denver had one too.

I've built the World Trade Center in my New York inspired part of my city. The height difference is quite large at the moment.
