Here's my most recent interchange, its a take on the SPUPCLO, with additional lane modifications for the incoming highway.

Not as elegant as some of the other interchanges on here, but here are two of mine.

Got a depression relapse, so I'm doing things at random in my game. Here's some pics. By any means it's not greatest projects I did... But this will work.

A view looking south on U-10 as it passes to the north of the city of Centennial. Three major intersections are visible, from left to right: U-10/U-5 stack interchange, Centennial Blvd's transition to U-105, and Fairfield Blvd SPUCLO. City: 130,000, not all visible here. Though you do get a glimpse of downtown Centennial on the top of the image, U-5 serves as the downtown connector from U-10 while Centennial Blvd south of U-5 serves as the business corridor. North of U-10 Centennial Blvd becomes U-105 for a few miles and merges back with U-5 north of the city.

So one thing I've run across, and I have no idea how to do and it drives me up the wall sometimes because I did it in SC4 and SC3 all the time. Train intersections at intersections. Anyone have any idea how to do it? I know it can be done but...? Would I have to use road anarchy or is it just some trick I'm missing on how to build these types of intersections? Thanks!

I have the same question. Any road intersection has to be at least 1 tile away from the rail crossing. :(, unless I use the 'overlap' setting in no pillars - but then theres no rail crossing proper.

Trying to recreate this motorway junction. Some extra work is perhaps required. Have just installed the sharp angles mod which might help me get the angles a bit better.

It's looking good, even though I would space out things a little more ;) (unless,of course, you are trying to save space for development). If you notice, in real life there is more distance between ramps.

For you music lovers out there:

I've been messing around with the Sharp Junction Angles mod as well, but for me the only usecase where it looks better than the regular NoPillars - overlay mode trick (which made it possible to do shallow merges anyway) is with 'Highway Ramps' merging at 10°s:

Screenshot.thumb.jpg.01c822aa2740f860534

I guess it looks fine, especially since I calculated all my curves (with minimum radiuses of 44c for a 80kmh design speed ;)), but it's only marginally than what we could do before.

Ungh, where's the lane splits & drops!

I claim to practice architecture, but in reality architecture practices me.

Two today. One, a simple trumpet interchange that I'm somewhat proud of. The Network Expansions Project has had an update adding new motorways to the game which I'm thinking is why there is some discolouration there on the two lane coming off that and therefore the road colour changer mod doesn't work fully anymore. It used to do the two lane but for the time being it doesn't any more.

The second I have is this behemoth. It's meant to be another based on a real life junction in the UK at Ferrybridge. They had more room to build with though, it's also the accidentally mirrored. Landscaping will come later. I had only just found out the fine heights mod can do bridges at custom heights. I never knew, XD

A double decker junction. Would've like all roads to converge on the roundabout but blame space constraints for that. Two roads on the left side go to the road. Two roads on the right go to the roundabout. Meanwhile a freight line travels in the trench underneath the roads. The upper deck carries traffic northbound, the lower deck carries traffic southbound towards the city centre. The land is ready for development.

Here's your ordinary 4-way stack:

And as a bonus I want to show you the colourfully lit palm trees I planted between the carriageways to delight the drivers on the freeway. Not an interchange, but I'm in love with those coloured lights :P
