Wait a minute, the last competition was only begun at around 10:10 am CDT (It's 19:51 CDT and less than 10 hours had passed) how come we are already voting on a new round?

I would like to submit the following one.

Wish You Were Here: The Peak Tram and the Hong Kong panorama.

I read that posted time and decided to post the tie breaker and a new photo. Now I see that my post time is 12:54AM and 1:40AM when I posted in my local time zone it was around 1800, and after the 24 for me. Clearly, I've made a mistake here. I'll let me mods handle it as they will.

Eh, I messed up as well.

I edited my vote out to avoid confusion.

Something is wrong here. Tonraq was right. Last round got messed up. Why aren't moderators managing this competition anymore?

We should give this competition at least 12 more hours:

Libertyville -- 6

BigMasterBig -- 4

It seems Hamish is busy with real life so I wonder if maybe Tonraq being a mod might takeover. The weekly challenge for war pics never went to a vote as well.

Libertyville wins his round against BigMasterBig. Final score: 6-4.

Now's the time for a new challenger.

I thought I won two rounds already, one against that simcity 4 picture and the other was a cs picture.

The round against the SC4 picture was voided because there was a submission (the CSL picture) before it... it just took us longer to notice the error than usual so people (including myself) voted like it was a valid round, adding to the confusion.

SimCoug -- 10

Libertyville -- 1

The bigger question for me is whether somebody can produce a picture that can beat SimCoug's?? I really like Libertyville's (and I'm not that fond of many C:S images I see).

simcity 4 has a much better developed mod system that can construct images with narratives in them. CS doesn't have that yet. So far, it's mostly logistical tools.

I also think that there is a quick beauty fatigue with CS. Every city journal is full of beautiful scenery, perfect, the same kind of nice trees and flowers. It's hard to distinguish one city from another. Take a look at these journals. Their skylines are basically different combinations of the same buildings. The sun shaft is over used.

Uniqueness, then, lies in natural typography and urban planning structure. That isn't enough.

Don't be discouraged. I'm pretty sure everyone who has entered a pic or two in this competition has lost a few times even SimCoug.

I'll have a go.

This pic is fairly similar to my previous pic but since I'm not doing a CJ right now I'll unveil it here first.

Can we extend the time on this round or something?

Either that or there should be a minimum number of votes to win. There's a maximum so why not a minimum? I can understand that if its set too high then the competition may take too long but 3 or 4 would seem quite reasonable while being more legitimate then winning 2-0 or 2-1.

On that note
