So I know it's against the rules, but since there hasn't been any activity here for two days, anyone mind if I toss another one of mine into the ring? I think I've got one that may de-throne the current almost-HOF'er

Don't like the name if Tonraq's pic. Too negative, lacks confidence, asking for pity. It's a good pic. No need for self-deprication.

 

I didn't score based on the name but it did have an initial negative impact on my perception.

I kind of thought we were ignoring the 24hr rule these days. I think it's up to the competitors right now. If Huston accepts the victory we should call it, but if he wants to let it play out we should do that. I guess it's a bit awkward now that 2 new pics have already been submitted.

 

We need Hamish to agree on some official rule changes.

 

Here are my suggestions, again:

 

- 48hr limit

- Total of 5 votes must be cast

- Must win by 2 if score doesn't reach 10

Both are really good pictures, and michae95l's picture reminded me of Shanghai's typology; Wallacet's picture is a great SC4 picture for MMP showcase. So just with a tiny margin, I'll vote for Wallacet.

wallacet - 3 (pleasant to look at and a good place for a lighthouse, but it feels a little barren in some way)

I think we only need a minimum vote count or minimum number of winning votes. The other two options would dramatically change the format and there would likely be far less entries reaching the hall since each round would take more than twice as long. Imo not really fair to future competitors to face dramatically different conditions than past ones.
