They are working on it, but there are not date set.

A quote by Andreas Roth, posted today in the NAM General Discussion Thread:

i imagine the release will be sometime in octember. or maybe smarch. possibly maypril.

IMO its fine if it takes awhile because there are many new custom bridges to be finished up and modded that will probably put in the NAM

Yes, it is much better to go for quality than speed. Public BETAs would be nice though. But, I guess the forums would get flooded with "Bohoo my game crashed"-threads 15.gif

I think someone with more knowledge of the puzzle pieces and such should finish it, because i don't have a clue about how to make it fit with the rest of the NAM. BTW, the northgoing ramp is the same as the south going, It might look sharp because of the perspective and because it's going down.

nice. it looks like an overhanging prop, am i right? if that's the case it's not going to be able to be pathed correctly so that vehicles can use it.

That would be great to have. It's so difficult to plan out a highway when the corners are tempermental. It would make it easier, especially for belt routes, to have a pre-done piece.

like i said before, it's an overhanging prop. to mod it for traffic, it needs path files. path files CANNOT extend past the base of the lot. hence, what you have there is not possible to mod the way you want it modded. the only way is to create a base that fits the entire curve/model, which is somewhat defeats the point of needing it.

bixel, i have only one thing to say what you should change: when you come from the noth in your car. You'll be driving through nice gentle curves until you come to the bottom of this peice of road were there seems to be a sudden change of direction to the north west. You should smooth it out a bit and equalize the turns.

@ prince_of_sims:  It is only a testrender on a test lot. The final model will be rendered and modded the right way to make it functional.

Actually, it can. It's just temperamental.

I was wondering if any of you guys are interested in modding my brick street mod into ploppable pieces for the NAM?

I'm still working on some of the stuff, but it's near completion.

I'm sorry, but the NAM puzzle pieces aren't lots,  every piece is registered in several RUL files to work, and in one of them, the interchanges one, I think, you can choose how many tiles has the model and what shape is going to have the piece. something like this:

-----XX-----

------XX----

-------XX---

------XX----

----XX------

--XX--------

X------------

When X are the used tiles and - means the base tiles that won't be used by the piece; by the way, every network piece bigger than 16x16 meters is splitted in several little pieces (which are 16x16, though) and have their own path file. 9.gif

This would be great to have, since I usually don't like to use mods that replace roads (dirt road mod, etc). Puzzle pieces would be a great addon.

O yay I love that mod. Very useful in Mersin which I started last week and put on hold waiting for a bunch of things one of which is the Urban Street Mod!

A NAM Showcase thread is being planned to show all of the NAM features, past, present, and future. This thread should appear in the next couple of days.

On the topic of brick street puzzle pieces; this is currently being discussed by the team. They may be released if it is feasible to make the textures interchangeable, as to not favor one person's brick street textures over another. (there are a considerable number of texture sets in existence)

This account is only used on occasion to update the NAM and other NAM Team products, or make official team announcements.  Private Messages (PMs) sent here may not be read in a timely manner.

  • General questions, comments, or concerns about the mod should be directed to the NAM & Transit Networks Board.
  • Matters more appropriate for Private Messages should be directed to Tarkus, NAM Team Lead.

To the NAM team:

Would it be possible to get an update on what you are working on and how it's going ?

It's been really quite in the NAM threads.
