I'm still in bad shape, and the worst may or may not yet to come, but there are still a few more things to show you and still a few more things to explore in future entries. Still, thanks for the support Benedict and Schulmanator.

Let's start with Treblane's night life. For some reason night pictures never really crossed by mind, but after sorting out some kinks I got it sorted out. Please note that I use Maxis night, or Hollywood night as I like to think of it. Despite the night time mods out there, I don't really like them because they make things too dark. Having said there is a small night-time mod I use which alters the light cones from streetlights, this I do like.

    And now, let us start...

    4bop9.jpg

Welcome to the nightlive, let us travel to...

    3zydp.jpg

The industrial heartland of Treblane; the south of Clackney Flats.

    0vg2.jpg

At night the TULEPs look super sexy...

    bjly.jpg

The Clackney Flats coal powered station.

    y6ou.jpg

I lurve how the pulp illuminates in this pulping plant.

    gvpv.jpg

The northern part of the coal complex.

    nmhk.jpg

Such beauty, whoever created this coal pile did an amazing job with the luminosity of the coal.

    qbhx.jpg

And now here is what you've really been dying to see- Treblane's CBD.

    qv25.jpg

My favourite street in Treblane's CBD...

    wyvs.jpg

    halz.jpg

    448f4.jpg

Here is my RHW interchange complex, my first attempt at such complicated transit networks.

    0gg7.jpg

And a few lakes to spruce things up... Why not?

Next entry we will return back to Stokesley where is there is another lake to explore plus streams, marshes and scree slopes...

    Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

    This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

I'm the same way with night mods. I think Maxis Night is just fine, it has a lot of latitude for use in photoshop. Great work. Where did you get that pulping plant?

    simlink: Thanks.

Update 28: The marshland, lakes and scree slopes of Stokesley

Going back to Stokesley again and this time we take a trip around the area west of Toral's Peak.

    1qqu.jpg

    li05.jpg

    This area!

    7fyl.jpg

    ipq5.jpg

    xh5y.jpg

For the stream I tried a softer, and greener, approach to the banks.

    mlrg.jpg

As always the versatile Heblem paths can be used just about anywhere to paint in a pebbly surface.

    u7wv.jpg

A small marshland. Inspired by numerous walks around the Pennines and the Howgills, I decided to give it my best shot at creating extensive marshes.

    ka72l.jpg

    9zkz.jpg

    cepl.jpg

Love the reeds, they almost look the same as the ones which grow in the Pennines and the Howgills, except the SC4 ones are of a darker green.

    uwkbe.jpg

The northern part of Bogee Lake.

    zjupu.jpg

For some reason the water shifted several metres in four different ways with each respective view rotation. As such I had to make the shoreline wider.

Another waterfall. With hindsight I wished I had used one of the Pegasus ones which are smaller...

Here is another attempt at creating a scree slope.

    zbx3y.jpg

    The end of the journey...

    ///

There is one more thing to show in Stokesley, but that will be for a mini-update. For now it is back to Treblane plus night-time entries of my other cities. Once my exams are done I will start on other projects. The first one is a city divided in two by the river, with one half comprised of industrial wasteland and poorer areas, while the second half is one of agriculture and countryside.

Other things I have on my wishlist are:

    massive hydroelectric dam;

    huge coalpit;

    lumber industries;

    seaport complex.

And finally some kind of miniature version of Los Angeles, GTA V style. As for regional views, well, I don't expect to show any for a long time since I work on different tiles in the same region which are spaced apart considerably.

    rathefalcon: Thank you.

sarthakknight: I wonder what other foreign SC4 sites are out there which contain large industrial buildings?

NMUSpidey: I like to create it all, that's why I'm constantly switching from large cities, industrial areas, farmland, countryside, nature and back again. I get bored with doing the same thing twice. It's got to look different, every city must feel and look different.

    NeilsC007: Thanks.

nath1980: I'm getting there, thanks for the comment.

    Update 29: Treblane University

One thing which I really like are university grounds. Large green areas, dotted with a few carparks and campus sites. I walk around them in Durham and so Treblane University is an imitation of what I see on a daily basis.

    0dct5.jpg

    t5yzz.jpg

Treblane University and its grounds. I decided to build around the Vanilla SC4 university- next time I will use a custom university to create an even larger campus site.

    jkcnb.jpg

    Fawlty Lake.

    wu4jt.jpg

Tower's Lake; named after the long shadows which cover it from the skyscrapers nearby. Collectively the two lakes are known as the Fawlty Tower's lakes. ;)

    foke.jpg

    9d4yz.jpg

To the right is Sybil's Pond, this was formed by a cluster of springs beneath the pond.

    mgm1.jpg

    texc8.jpg

    iw7gw.jpg

The campus grounds at the North are littered with meadows.

These tree were cut down to make way for a new path and a basketball court.

    33iun.jpg

The Fawlty Towers Stadium. In the region some stadiums are virtually identical in design due to sport infrastructure plans of the former communist government. One stadium, one sport, one people. Those were the old days many dozens of years ago...

    y2sg.jpg

Here marks the start of the M4, one of a few dozen motorways in the region.

    1th7.jpg

To the south of Treblane University is the Porcelain Bouvier suburb. It is home to all of those with wealth who prefer houses to high-rise flats.

    4h0w.jpg

    prpa.jpg

The Charles Xavier grammar school. And no- this is not where the X-men reside.

Next time there will be another night-time entry, I just need to get to my rig which is back in Darlington- after my exams are over.

Very nice pictures :D you're obviously very talented when it comes to building SC4 cities. I'll be sure to keep an eye on this city journal, and I will surely leave replies.

Well done - your CJ is back at number one on BTT.

Glad to see you back to updating - hope you're getting assistance as we all enjoy your work.

Edit June 13: And a second week at the top based on the strength of your last update - nice work (but the kitties are right behind you!)

I didn't see the 3 lasts updates, they were in the time I had to be out. But now I see it, and it's just perfect as always! Wonderful job in the cities and with MMPs.

    When is the next?

Unfortunately due to a little family dispute I can't go back home and use my computer. Don't worry I'm not homeless or anything, I've got a flat and the tenancy expires 2 months from now. If I had access to my rig I would be cranking out updates two or three times a week. But I'll sort things out, some of which is related to certain mental stuff I indicated in a previous post six weeks ago.

But I'm confident the situation will resolve itself before the summer holidays end. So at the latest expect an update sometime before September.
