That's the contours view.  It's a Maxis invention and it puts contours onto your map.  I can't remember exactly how you turn it on but it might be: ctrl+shift+C.  I could easily be wrong about that though.  It might be ctrl+alt+C... or something else all together.

IDS2 ... that may actually be your graphics card overheating. Check your GPU temperatures. If they're above 110C, you've got problems. Try to improve the heating on your PC.

My game usually runs smoothly, but sometimes it gets glitchy. Here are my oddities:

This was one of my first cities on SC4. All the buildings dissapeared if I scrolled around for too long.

The "Larva Breeding" Hi-tech building is very glitchy. I demolished the building, but for some reason, the props stayed.

The dream of underground powerlines is finally coming true...

Looks like a very complicated commute..

Here's my oddity to share with you:

I... I don't think it's even trying. (Yes, it does go away after a while)

And yes, that does mean I have reinstalled Simcity 4. I'm staying vanilla though - my computer can't really handle this game even at small population levels, and I don't think it'd get better with more stuff.

Here's a picture I got a few months ago and never managed to put in the "Bugs and Tech Issues" section. But whatever. I was doing a UDI mission and for no reason, this happened.

I swear, nothing was Photoshopped. The diamond really did turn purple. I think that's the inverted color of green, so I don't know what happened. Must be a color glitch. Also, the car started driving itself. I'm serious. The UDI panel stayed up, but I had absolutely no control over the car.

So far, it hasn't happened again, so that's good.

Sure, the shelter is not a building, it's just a shelter complete with an SNWS Weather Radio with batteries, but out of all buildings, he wants to visit that?

Signal lights facing the wrong direction on a one-way-avenue turn off

Even the deceased need transportation lol!     Phantom light rail...in game automata as well as occasional UDI.

Here are two very strange SC4 oddities: Freight Train Traffic on the Wrong Network!!!

Freight Train Traffic on Elevated/Light Rail? So near each other that Sims can't tell the difference?
