I've been here for more than a year now (9/6/03). 4 more months till a bi-annuarian membership!!

I've only started posting consistently (less than one year in between posts) on 4/15/2005. I've been posting on average about 10 posts a day since then trying to make up for lost time. And those 10 posts a day aren't spam either .

Sounds like life in my RL job.

After my first month of downloading fr the STEX and getting questions about the game answered, I realized that I wanted to give back to SimTropolis in the worst possible way.  Last year I would never have thunk that management was that way!   


But the larger point is that a person (or at least I didn't) doesn't truly realize what the Dirktatorship pays attention to.  Sometimes it takes a bit, but many members's personalities really do come to life here in cyber-space. Yours and some of the others obviously did too!


BTW, I tried really hard today to talk my wife into joining ST on the day of my anniversary.   I did this even knowing that she may read a lot of the stuff I've already posted about her, the kiddoes, and my RL job.   She may still shock me yet & I may read one of her posts while I'm lurking at work!https://community.simtropolis.com/assets/emoticons/6.gif width=15 border=0>

I've updated!  Finally!  It's only been about 3 months, but I've done it.

 

Whew!  I just let this thing pile up and up, growing larger and larger until it was a bloated 2 pages I had to add.  I especially enjoyed TheMonkeysUncle's comments wondering why he hadn't been added.  And no, the ship isn't so tight.

 

Anyway, I've updated with everyone up to this point added.

huh...just realized today is my official two year anniversery date. has it really been that long?

of course, i STILL have no idea why i didn't join sooner...seemed like every day on the official site, i would read another post by RalphaelNinja about yet another discovery made at this site, and all the exciting things which were going going on.

glad i did join though, so i can continue watching all of the excitement, make new friends, and enjoy my home within a home.

a thanks to everyone who have made this the community it is today, and who are helping form the community it will be for hopefully many tomorrows.

and a HUGE thanks goes to Dirk for giving me and everyone else the opportunity to be here for at least two years...and hopefully many many many years to come.

Yay, I'm finally an annuarian!!

 

After first joining ST, I would just go to the STEX and download loads...my first CJ was pathetic...back in about September I think? I was barely a stranger to the forums...it only got a total of 25 posts...pathetic isn't it?

 

I still silently browsed for another few months until about late-January was when I became very active...I discovered new CJs, Forum games...and the wonders of ST.

Thanks to Dirk and the staff for making such a community possible.
