Hi all.
Thanks again Armandeus for the great links.
Do you by any chance know what the .ens and .eni files are in some of the Japanese lots?
Cheers.

Quite possibly the coolest BAT yet!  haha, 2,222 Tower, I called it.  Here's a pic from my city, next to the Mireniamu Tower and a few Hurts and Ongs, for reference:  SkyTower2222.jpg
Thanks for the compliment!  I really appreciate it.  Have a few more bunnies, but watch out - they breed quickly.  35.gif 35.gif
Also, Armandeus, that castle is really cool!  I never can get enough of those.  44.gif

Oh ... first one to figure out what's up with my pic that's different from normal (other than the custom PNG background!) gets ten bunnies in a hat.  No, it's not the terrain mod, either, nor any of the buildings.

I would think with a building that tall that you would have to be below sea level. I didn't know that the game could could handle that tall of a structure. Impressive to say the least.

I have never seen such file types in anything I've downloaded. Can you give me a URL to a Japanese lot that has those files?

lol - it [the SkyTower] is comprised of multiple components.  2.gif  Less render intensity, easier assembly, more options.

Here are 2 links to lots with .ens or .eni files

I'm not sure, but looking at the file names, I can guess that bubicon.eni might be a menu icon, and bcbldg514pcm.ens might be a query sound (because pcm is part of a name of a sound compression format, I think). See if there is a difference between running the game with these files in your plugin directory and taking them out. Sorry if that's not much help.

I saw a special on discovery last night on sky city, that they where thinking about building in tokyo to relieve crowding.  It isnt planned to be quite as tall sky tower, but it was proposed to be twice the hieght of taipei 101, which is currently the tallest building.  The design they showed would be a really cool bat, yet wouldnt be very difficult to do.  I could post pictures, or eventually make it if anyone is interested.  If this is too far off topic, just let me know.

Hi.
You're correct Armandeus, they are Icon and Building Query Sounds (dripping water in mine, Gun-fire of the rail gun. The lots work ok without them. Should have noticed that myself. You can hear the sounds by changing .ens to .wav.

kd5 - I saw that show too! Small world. I thought the Sky Tower looked ugly, though. No, the BAT wouldn't be that hard to do, except for the little plateau-perimeter monorails and the roof-parks of the plateaus. BTW: What did you think of that 3-in-1 they showed at the end? Ugly as sin, in my opinion.

Does anyone know what the building behind the Crossland is? I'm guessing it's a museum, and based on the textures, I'm also guessing it's a Maxis building.

NOB has created a new train station, based on Yokogawa station in Hiroshima. It has passenger rail, el-train, and bus service. Go to his page to see it and download. He has a description in English, and he has links to the texture set you need to download.

Armandeus...I'd like to thank you for using my suggestion of placing some Japanese sites in your sig...and, taking the time to keep adding them.44.gif I think it's definitely helped eliminate much of the I can't read this or find that stuff.

On another note, some of these towers are just CRAZY tall. They're terrific!

EDIT: Geez...where's my head? I totally forgot to mention THANKS to all of those Japanese batters who have continued to provide these fun and cool BATS/lots!19.gif Keep 'em coming!

Is anyone else having trouble downloading the .bat file for the skytower 2222? I'm sure there is a way to extract the files from the .000, .001 etc. files without it, but I can't figure it out. thanks!
drool 11.gif

ps. thanks a bunch again for this thread and to all the peerless batters on these sites - a lot of them are really thinking outside the box -d

What you do is download all the .000, .001, etc. files and put them in the same folder as the .bat, and just double click the .bat and it'll combine them all into the proper files.

You're welcome. I think I introduced those lots when I introduced APTX's site (that first picture is of the Isetan Dept. Store in Shinjuku, Tokyo). If you look at the middle of page 16 of this thread, you can see that I gave English descriptions to all the lots, buses, and trains on his site. I didn't post pictures like you did because there were too many to post.

Here's a nice park that you might like. The Sanctuary, by BriPizza.
sanctss0.jpg
It goes in the landmark menu, costs 60,000 to plop and 50 a month to maintain, and reduces pollution. Go here to look at two more pictures and to download the lot (the download link is in the middle of the page).
