A few members had asked me about the release some of the highway props I had worked on a while ago and never uploaded. For those of you who are wondering the same thing, wonder no more, for they can be downloaded right now, right here:

    http://rapidshare.com/files/704040020/bipinprops_HWY_OddsAndEnds.zip

While the download only includes props such as guardrails and overpasses, and not their respective lots, the job shouldn't be too bad when designing your own lots with them. The props are quite versatile and may be utilized in their initially intended way, such as here...

    8546884184_a1a448956e_o.jpg

...or placed on your own accord, as they can be used in a variety of situations I have not yet realized. Be creative! Also, be sure to expect more along these lines:

    8afcd25076b3f87bf49e5cb32497c10fe8a332d3

    Enjoy! :D

I guess VIP team is falling to their knees and is pleading for you.

Nah but serious. You've been one of very little batters who are regulary active and giving some nice high-quality productions as a nice addition to the game.

About the barriers and signs - I remember having asked you some time ago - how about creating a mod which is automatically creating those props along highways (at lest for the crash barriers)

    Keep it up (unnecessary note)

Will you apply these for the normal elevated roads and evenues too (not just for the elevated highways)?

I'll just have to re-align it a bit, but I hope you enjoy the progress!

Use FAR ramps, and be sure to place them exactly like in the pictures.

Anyway, all of your work looks like aerial photography, Bipin!  And it gets better with every update!  Whatever you do man, don't stop now!

I see a little art deco in that overpass piece. 1930s-60s Detroit still in your mind, Bipin?

Nice catch! :D Art Deco was behind the inspiration for the bas relief on the sides of the ornamental pillar/abutment extensions. I wanted to combine it though with a more modern style characteristic of urban renewal projects from today.

    Here's a quick little update:

    8afcd25076eca8d79fbff5ae23607d744e1500c3

This piece is designed to work with ERHW-2/4, elevated road and elevated OWR. There will of course be filler pieces.

    8afcd250763814b3d001f081ee81a0f060d101cf

Don't worry about the clipping issues. Those can be resolved easily.

Well that's the thing, there aren't really that many highway walls out there. However, I might be able to whip up a small filler piece today if I can find the old CURB files. In the meantime, I'd recommend making your own walls/slopes with MMPs and these as a base texture: http://www.simpeg.com/forum/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=721

I have no idea. I've been trying to figure out myself for quite some time, although I have a hunch it has to do with Lowkee's terrain mod.

Time to revisit those roads! The last texture had half of the community wish for more cracks/bumpy concrete, whilst the other half wished for less. The more I pleased one party, the more I upset the other. For a week or so I searched fora  better texture, but to no avail. By accident today, I came across this texture and pulled it from an image. Now the hardest part, HD or SD? Let me know what setup you prefer:

    8afcd250764c6a5ccc5fa7035efd773b56ea1d71

    8afcd2507616f6e8ae215894b9a153832431cdce

    8afcd250766ced7bbef482c33e379d9ef735813c

    8afcd25076a13f5dbc0954a931219727deaba05b

The above is HD at zoom levels five and six, whilst the following images are SD at zoom five:

    8afcd2507625383595bf76d2c0389d3f188ce9bd

    8afcd250765907df109d1fde693e1c91f07010da

Frankly, I believe you just don't see anything in SD that warrants the amount of detail in the road surface. I feel as though by going SD, much of this work is in vain. However, it's clear that in HD, the texture appears a bit noisy in some views, which isn't perfect either. What are your suggestions as to where I should go from here?

I love the HD more than the SD! Sure, there may be some noise, but nothing that a bit of smart photoshopping won't do for us CJers. I feel like that level of detail and quality just goes to waste with the SD.
