Time to inject some more life into this topic!

One horribly garish suburban strip coming right up!

Rydell-Oct15061408863650_zps77ca9f00.jpgI decided to add weave lanes to facilitate all the new nearby retail traffic.

Ontario or UK? I've been to neither but I find it interesting that they have similairities to the picture.

@ROFLyoshi, that street layout is really impressive! I think it's cool how the rail line snakes through too.

Here's a small neighborhood I made today.

So American...

I'd probably say either Long Island or somewhere in the Midwest by looking at it.

The architecture is rather Levittown-ish. I draw most of my inspiration from the Houston area and other Texas towns. You are correct though, cookie cutter neighborhoods like this could be anywhere, USA.

These are simgoober's RLS suburban homes

the ones I have in the pictures are re-lots that I've done with the lot editor so it's a bit different from the linked download but it's still the same beautiful houses! :D

Suburbs from Mastodon, a WIP. Some of them are inner city areas or very close to the center, some are part of the ever growing sprawl.

Downtown Mastodon posted in the CBD thread  :]

Great image. Don't worry about that 1 hour. It took me days how to make a simple diamond exchange until I gave up and searched Youtube.

Last one I made this week. Leeburn is located next to Hughson and is located 15km northeast of the big city. It's home to  25,866 people.

It looks like a nice little town/suburb, however; at 25,000+ people I can't personally see how all the main roads are only two lanes. I live in an area of 7,000 and the main road (two lanes) gets very crowded until it expands to two lanes each direction on Arizona's side. Though, it is fair to say that traffic coming from AZ side and tourist do add to the traffic but you get my point.

Not bashing, it looks very nice just that little thing bugged me from a real world perspective  :P

I would upgrade a few roads to an avenue but the traffic was only at 50% capacity so I didn't expand them. I understand what you mean though, personally I've never seen a city over 10,000 people that doesn't have at least one four lane road.
