I guess the Trixies were delayed anyway, and then Colossal Order came around with Cities:Skylines, and the admins were busy adding forum sections, STEX categories, news features, and so forth.

Here's a small update on my NYBT Peter Stuyvesant apartments.

Very exciting! I like the dimensions of it, too.

 

(Since I neglected to post about it earlier): The row houses are really exciting. I don't think I've ever seen a row house BAT that includes dug-out ground to allow for a garage underneath the housing. Pretty unique! The texturing is looking nice as well.

 

I have a question: When your schedule permits, do you think you could model a building similar to your old Eyrene Apartments BAT (well, one that serves the same purpose as it)? As of right now, I think it's the only straight w2w BAT in your set tall enough (Gracie Manor, Dover House, etc are too short for some of the taller corner ones) to fit between two of your taller corner w2w's (like 785 Park Ave, Hattan House, etc). I just ask this because sometimes it feels like I have too many instances of Eyrene Apartments because it's the only one that fills that gap.

 

That aside, glad to see NYC BATs still rolling out!

MushyMushy- Thank you, I would love to make a building similar Eyrene Apartments, I've been wanting to do that because the buildings are taller, the reason why I made the Eyrene Apartments that tall is because there are not enough of non-corner w2w buildings that like that and that faces the avenue. the reason the way the Gracie Manor and Dover House are they height is because they are on streets, and the taller they are the more shadows they will cast of small Manhattan streets..

Beekman Hotel Tower

 

I have did a little work on the Beekman today the roof still need some work, the ac units below the windows need texturing, and I need to work on a few things on the ground floors. I hope you guys like what you see.

Do you mean low-wealth commercial service (CS$)? If so, I think it would not be a suitable category for this building. Remember that the other CS$ stuff in game are run-down shoebox stores, fast food joints, cheap retail, and of course the dreaded drive-in cinema. As a hotel, it would be in a totally different wealth category than, for example, Maxis' Fleabag Motel or whatever it is called. However, using PIMX it shouldn't be too hard to make such a version.

 

Then again, I'm obviously not Aaron, and I'm just thinking aloud here and putting down my personal view - the choice is entirely Aaron's.

Remember to add a ground plane too. You can actually see the grey environment being reflected on the shadow side of the bricks. That also makes me wonder if the bricks are too reflective. 

 

I'm still looking forward to this. The tower is nice and the unique way that the building is wall to wall will look really good when it grows next to your other apartment buildings.
