Die Hebriden (Hebrides Overture a.k.a. Fingall's cave) - Mendelssohn.

Beware: Emancipated user.  No Windoze for me.

Every minute of hate in which one indulges oneself is sixty seconds of happiness lost.
Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent. -- Victor Hugo

Gosh, I haven't heard any mad wriggles for many years.  My choir used to do them, and we had a lot of fun with them.  But that was back in high school, and I don't think you want to know when that was.

At the moment my music channels are all turned off.

THE ALFEE - "You Get to Run"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1OAcfllYLM

Both "You Get to Run" and THE ALFEE's "Faith of Love" were used as theme songs for the Sonny Chiba movie "Shogun's Shadow" (「激突・将軍家光の乱心」- "Gekitotsu: Shōgun Iemitsu no Ranshin" - "Clash: The Insanity of Shogun Iemitsu").  The trailer is so goofy looking, I had to just now order the DVD to finish out my Sonny Chiba Shogun Era chambara collection.

Broken Bells - After the Disco

They are so hipster that their video is in the 4:3 aspect ratio. But do take a look at it, it's a good music video.

Tackey & Tsubasa - "Epilogue"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEQUM4MveXA

(Featuring stills of the group 7WEST)

"I'll be there for you..."  Wahhh, Imai Tsubasa was last month emergency hospitalized and diagnosed with Ménière's disease, a progressively degenerative ear disorder that brings debilitating vertigo and eventual hearing loss.  For a singer and dancer, one of the "Four Dancing Kings" of Johnny's talent agency, and the -ahem- better dancer of the T&T duo, that has to be a harsh blow.  Listeners were surprised when Tackey filled in for Tsubasa's live radio shows, first breaking the news, and now continuing to substitute with reassuring updates on Tsubasa's hospital recuperation and amusing anecdotes from their forever-linked careers.  Awww.  This is also now a late double blow from this duo for the Johnny's idol factory, which was already frustrated as the other -ahem- more photogenic partner of the T&T duo somehow stopped growing and will remain the shortest leading man in their talent lineup.  Meanwhile, they've brought out Matchy and even parked Kame beside Tackey in order to cover recent television shows, but those bittersweet attempts just made it clear that there can only be one true T&T couple.

Yesterday, it was announced that Tsubasa remains in treatment, and that the upcoming concert tours of Tackey & Tsubasa will be performed by Tackey solo.

The last music I heard just now was The Hallelujah Chorus at the end of Jean Béliveau's funeral which I watch on CBC Streaming.  I posted a link in the Obituary thread.  3+ hours if you really want to watch it.

Pink Floyd - Dogs.

Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Too much silence A Nonny Moose! D:

Why not enjoy the silence instead?  :)

Right now I'm listening to a song called

by The Dead Kennedys. I love this fired-up late seventies punk rock!  :D I find it just as relevant today, especially since Jerry Brown (prominently mentioned in the lyrics) was the Governor of California at both when the song was written (1979) and currently (2014), after being re-elected in 2010. Listen to the lyrics to understand what I'm saying.

After watching some people play scary video games, I decided to listen to two little music box songs. The first one is from my favorite opera and the second one is supposed to sound sad. Both are scary in certain contexts.

If either of these scare you, then you have either played or watched scary video games. I have watched other people watch said video games but I still find all music box songs calming.

--Ocram

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3
