  1. Rate the Song: Take Two!

7.5/10 Very good. That's some old-school mixing being done in there, I like it. A retro late 60's-early 70's + modern feel to it. (White Man) In Hammersmith Palais - The Clash (1978)
  2. New and confused/frustrated

This is now one of my favorite posts I have ever seen on any forum.
  3. Why not enjoy the silence instead? Right now I'm listening to a song called by The Dead Kennedys. I love this fired-up late seventies punk rock! I find it just as relevant today, especially since Jerry Brown (prominently mentioned in the lyrics) was the Governor of California at both when the song was written (1979) and currently (2014), after being re-elected in 2010. Listen to the lyrics to understand what I'm saying.
  4. New and confused/frustrated

I'm curious what happens if you completely run out of money? Your city is bankrupt? Can you just keep playing forever and try to pull it out of the water? If your deficit gets too high (such as -$100,000+), you (as mayor) get "impeached". The game kicks you out of the city and displays a message saying something about you having to get out of town. You can re-enter the city, and it will continue from your last save point. Often by then, however, it is too late (depending on how often you save).
  5. How do I unzip files?

If it asks you where to put the folder/files, just put them in the same location as your zipped folder. Let me know if it works. What I mean is do I put in the plugins folder or just put into the SimCity 4 folders? I've tried the regions folder and it did nothing. Oh I see, you're working with plugins. Yes, put the unzipped folder/files into the plugins folder. It should be noted that some plugins don't work if there are too many "folders within folders" for the game to access the plugin files. Just make sure that isn't the case with the plugins you're installing.
  6. How do I unzip files?

If it asks you where to put the folder/files, just put them in the same location as your zipped folder. Let me know if it works. Do I copy and replace or do I not copy? I would say copy and replace, but to be on the safe side, create a new folder first (where you will be copying the unzipped files to). Then extract the files to that new folder.
  7. I'd love to try SimCity 2013 myself. There are problems and issues with it that I don't like, but I can live with. The one thing that totally kills the game for me is the ridiculously small city size. I never liked the idea of "skyscraper-only" cities either, which a lot of people on here seem to do.

  9. How do I unzip files?

Nope, I don't see the "Extract All" option when right-clicked. I see other extract options, but I'm afraid to use them. Is there an "Extract here" option? If so, click that.
  10. How do I unzip files?

Right-click the zipped folder, and find the option that should be called "Extract All" and click on that. Then let WinRAR do its thing. At least that's what I've always done. An unzipped copy of that folder will be created, and then just delete the zipped one. There are other "Extract" options as well, but I never bothered with any of them.
  11. st challenges Best Picture Competition

I like TekindusT's. Nice and gritty. I really like the other one too, though. Tough choice. TekindusT - 4 Kisa Atsuko - 5
  12. Getting Past a Population Plateau

I once had a city that was stuck at 300,000 pop. for decades (in the game). Commute time was a nightmare, apparently.
