RAIN!!! I made rain!

All shall bow down before me...

For I... have created rain.

There seems to be three more hidden terraform tools in RH: Lake, Spring, and Rain.

Spring seems to be a stream creating tool... unfortunately it looks broken. I can''t get it to do anything.

BUT, Lake and Rain work!... somewhat. Basically, they fill in depressions in the terrain with bodies of water at just about any altitude. UNfortunately, the water they create isn''t saved.

Whoa!!!..... okay.... Teirusu you just made your next Modd Squad pay cheque 22.gif (ignore the pink slip).

Please place forehead against monitor to transfer all knowledge to this post or attach modd 9.gif and perhaps a few others can help in figuring out whether it can be tweaked for saving...

Maybe this will be used in an upcoming expansion pack. Simcity 4: Rain Man, or some such nonsense.

Sweet Teirusu!! I personally am MOST interested in knowing if you managed to activate the alternate terrains. I noticed that your terrain is....well....white. That looks like the snow terrain  found in an INI. Have you also managed to activate the desert terrain? How about the cactus trees? 2.gif Please, do crack open this wonderful easter egg!! 22.gif

It's raining. . . BUNNIES!!24.gif24.gif24.gif24.gif24.gif

::Commence bowing sequence::

You just rock.  I don't know what you did to your terrian, but I think we all need to be able to download something that allows us to do it.  I wonder if Maxis will like this?  I think the Modd Squadd may be stepping on the toes of the next expansion pack filled with weather and more disasters and better ways to respond to them. . .

Reciepe on how to make money:

1.  Make a game
2.  Strip it of features that would make it an awesome game
3.  Sell the stripped down version
4.  Then sell back the features one by one
5.  Bow down to the Modd Squadd (well, that doesn't help anyone make money, but I thought I'd put it in there).

GREAT JOB TEIRUSU!!!

Yes, most of these finds are for possible add-ons or so, but I guess, most of these finds aren't complete and will be hard to have them get working.23.gif

Indeed though, I must say, I am speechless of this find.
Wish, we could have it get working properly.

Maxis won't like this though.......lol1.gif

They have shown intrest in this community for some time now.....i maybe nieve but they had to now that some one would find this...maybe its a challenge to the modders from the folks at maxis? So are you folks ready to take the challenge?2.gif

Rain?  Actually, that looks like the anticipated WATER TOOL!
How did you do it?

SC4, Forevermore!

Currently preoccupied with architecture school...lurking with caution.

SC3000 had rain, thunder and lightning. The clouds in SC3000 would turn dark when it stormed. Maxis took around three years between SC3000 and SC4. That should have been enough time to get things right.

The three tools must be these three exemplars:
48010 - GodValleySpring
32503 - GodValleyLake
55635 - GodValleyRain

These can all be found under Terraform in the exemplar analyser.

Simply dropping a submenu key property into one of these --- just stopped my game from loading.

Well I wouldnt say they couldnt figure it out :P I'd say more along the lines of it didnt make the final cut because it probably didnt work properly.

Still this is a really great find along with the surface water. Really amazing :D The question of course is can you build a bridge over it lol. and is the saving hard coded, and if so, can we do memory analysis of ram, and then code it into the savegame ourselves.

Ahhhh so many questions, so little time.
