When trying to do some landscaping I noticed not all of my corners are the same.

This causes ugly bits with when placing slope walls on them.

I want all of my 15+ meter slopes with the brown cliff shapes.

What causes this and is there a mod that can fix this?

I found this mod but either I don't understand what it does or I'm just doing something wrong.

Unfortunately, I haven't tried the mod. So, I'm not qualified to speak about this mod. But what I understand is this mod is designed with Jeronij's Seawall (highly recommended. Try it out!). I've tried the seawall and yeah, it works best with proper diagonal lines. In the original game, it's normal to have jagged edges when terraforming using other than game's terraforming tools. This mod helps with the creation of such lines by tuning the correct parameter. My advice is, slope mods aren't for those who wants a just work solution (except for the NAM's. But, it's been designed that way). They're designed for those who can take advantage of them. There's a reason why there are so many slope mods out there, ranging from proper ones (like Ennedi's) to just easing tunnel construction.

I'd like to summon @TheMurderousCricket, @CorinaMarie, @rsc204, etc.

And how do you make them? Are you using SC4Terraformer or just using the in-game tools?

The "SimCity 4" vanilla Opera House is the most evil thing in existence. Avoid.

I found this mod but either I don't understand what it does or I'm just doing something wrong.

This is totally normal, the game as shipped has the settings for the slope such that it causes visual issues for diagonal slopes at the typical default of 15m, which is used for things like walls and slope related fillers. Hence the DJEM mods, which invariably alter the settings to optimise them for display at 15m, but there is a small complication that may explain why it's not working.

This has nothing to do with Slope Mods, rather the Exemplar that holds all these settings is part of the Terrain properties and tends to be included with any Terrain mod you may have. Therefore if it doesn't appear to be doing anything (the DJEM), likely it's being cancelled out by another mod loading after it (probably a Terrain mod). Because only one such Exemplar can be loaded by the game, if you switched the load order, you'd simply cancel out the Terrain mod's changes to alter one setting of it, which is obviously not ideal. The better solution in these instances, would be to customise your Terrain mod as per the instructions here, to add the DJEM values you want. This tutorial also does a great job of explaining how this part of the game works and the drawbacks of the change on other areas too, a must-read for any serious player IMO.

As for making the slopes, I think that's a red herring here, but if you aren't using the Slope Raiser/Digger tools from the NAM, you should check them out. These provide the only reliable method to create an exact height difference for things like On-Slope connections and such retaining walls etc.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

I was using the raiser/digger lots from NAM to create the slopes in the picture and then increasing the plateau with roads. I'm also using a slope that probably counteracted the effects of the DJEM mod. I was not using them with Jeronji's Seawalls but I did recently get Jeronji's Concrete Diagonal Walls. Whilst trying those I noticed not all corners being the same when landcaping and I also found a link to DJEM on their page.

While experimenting myself I noticed that at 15 meters I still get 2 jagged corners and 2 proper corners. That changes when I get to a height of 20,3 meters. That's when it finally changes to a proper diagonal cliff corner on all sides. Problem is I want that slope at 15 meters, not 20,3. I will look at the the tutorial you linked, rsc204. I have a feeling that will teach me a lot of new things.
