These are TRAIN MODS made by Dearnen that have been in the MODD forums for a long time. Some of the downloads have stopped working so I emailed Dearnen and got his permission to put them up here so everyone could enjoy them. With this set you get you get the Union Pacific in it's standard Yellow/Grey paint scheme and the Chicago & Northwestern it's usual Yellow/Brown paint scheme. There are 4 locomotives in all, 2 replace the original game locomotive (YOU CAN ONLY USE ONE OF THESE AT A TIME) and then there are 2 extras that will show up at random (USE AS MANY AS YOU WANT). Read the README that comes with the download for more information. Place the files of your choice in: ProgramFiles/Maxis/SimCity4/Plugins THANK YOU Dearnen for allowing me to post these great locomotives!

There is only ONE original (freight) locomotive in the game so it can ONLY be replaced by ONE locomotive at any one time. There can however be as many extra locomotives as you want. They will all show up at random times. The README tells you which is an original replacement and which are extra.

Great but I have a question, do the extra locomotives sprawn without cars or with because there has been a case with me where extra trains by trolca have been resprawning without cars so I want to be sure....

^ never had a problem with these running around without the train behind them, however i do suppose it could happen.

Only the FREIGHT ENGINE is being replaced. All other frieght cars remain as they were. Passenger trains are not affected in any way unless you replace the passenger engine with a freight engine.

Very Nice. May I suggest that you change the yellow to yellow orange as the real Union Pacific engines are. Thanx.
