The Moose Factory - Virtual Bar and Grill - Version 3
Nerd_Guy replied to A Nonny Moose's topic in General Off-Topic
Seems like I'm a bit late for lunch, and a bit early til dinner. I guess I'll just nurse a glass of Coke while enjoying the last evening of spring break. Though I haven't been a fan of this chilly weather. -

Well, this all looks very familiar... Version 3? It was Version 2 the last time I was here. I still remember the original Moose Factory too. It's been quite some time. My girlfriend was ecstatic about the release of the new Sim City, and I was too at first. It's such a shame though, we all looked forward to a SimCity 5 for years, and we got this. Ah well. I was trying to convince her that SimCity 4 was still the best by showing her the few pictures I salvaged from my old computer, and ended up here looking for more. This all brings back memories. I feel like I should change my profile picture though! It's been the same for long enough. How is everyone? Or who is still here from the old days? -

Here's your order, 2b2gbi! I hope you enjoy it. I'm sorry that I haven't been around much John, I feel terrible about it. I was privileged to be given a position here and I haven't been around for it. I am actually very sick at the moment though. For the past 2 weeks, I have been vommiting up to 20 times a day, and I can't even keep the most basic foods down. All the tests are negative, so apprently I have nothing wrong with me. haha -

Don't forget that the US relies very heavily on acheiving air superiority in its wars. The main point of carriers is to allow us to launch fighter/bombers to any location in the world. -

DocRorlach: Yes sir, Proud US Citizen. The schools in my state of Illinois are going downhill fast though, our state is very heavily in debt. By chance, I happened to meet the president of one university who mentioned the state owing them a few billion dollars. I'm in a situation where private schools are too expensive for me, but I come from an upper middle class family and am of the wrong skin color to get government handouts. I'm looking at a private school but need many many scholarships and grants to afford it. As for world affairs, I'm somewhat concerned with China's development of a "carrier-killer" missle. America's aircraft carriers are vital tools in out politics, and with them no longer (nearly) invincible, we no longer have the same power to intervene that we once did. -

I'd like to have some grilled chicken and pasta, covered in an Aciago (I think that's the spelling) cheese sauce. AP stands for Advanced Placement. They are essentially college classes taken during high school (I am in my senior year) that give college credits. The english is a Composition course so there is a lot of writing involved. At least with no current events, there is no bad news, right? -

I never had much interest in antarctia personally. It is beautiful, but there isn't much there. Penguins are always interesting though. School has been in session for a week now. The workload from AP Anatomy/Physiology and AP English is staggering. I'm alos working on my own city journal. Well, more of a real-life city journal that is. 2 years ago, after losing all of my saved SC4 gaves to a rather nasty virus, I started doodling in math class, and it evolved from there. It is currently about 62 feet (almost 19 meters) of a detailed regoin on many, many sheets of notebook paper. What's going on with everyone else at the factory? -

I think Moose explained it pretty well. There are several words in English with many different meanings and pronunciations, but the same spelling. And speaking of Poland, did you know we celebrate Casmir Pulaski Day in Illinois? And an interesting side note, my dad caught himself on fire in a stupid accident with gasoline, and now has 2nd degree burns all along his arm. -

I was there but only briefly, as it was part of an extensive tour for school. Being from Illinois, the "Land of Lincoln" as it says on our liscense plates, it was great to finally see the monument. It really is beatiful. There was a huge thunderstorm while we were there though. -

I've been to D.C., and I have to say, I love it there. It may not be the cultural capital of the country but it is a beautiful city and full of history. The Air and Space museum is my personal favorite. -
