About This File
This pack contains a set of custom lots using EffTheGrid's Cape Cod R$ Houses, as well as custom textures for the lots. These lots are intended as a seasonal alternative to FTG's original lots, which use evergreen Maxis flora.
I have used standard definition props and textures in this set, which allows for minimal dependencies. If you prefer high definition props and don't mind downloading extra dependencies, I have also released a Seasonal HD set of these lots. You can download the Seasonal HD set here.
The lots in this set come four sizes, each of which comes in multiple variants. In total, there are 24 variants.
- 1x3 R$ Lots - Stage 1 (8 variants)
- 1x2 R$ Lots - Stage 2 (8 variants)
- 2x1 R$ Lots - Stage 2 (4 variants)
- 1x1 R$ Lots - Stage 3 (4 variants)
The lots are separated by lot size into distinct DAT files. If you don't wish to use one of the lot sizes, simply delete the corresponding DAT file after installing this download.
As with FTG's original lots, these lots will only grow on the New York tileset. Please note that the original houses and the fence props used on these lots are not slope-friendly. As such, these lots will trigger a lot foundation on moderate slopes.
INSTALLATION
To install, simply unzip the contents of this download and copy the folder labeled "Barton Thinks" into your Plugins Folder.
DEPENDENCIES
This set of lot requires the following dependencies:
OPTIONAL FILES
In addition to the main set of lots, I have also created two optional downloads:
- "Optional - Block Original Lots" - If installed, this download will block EffTheGrid's original lots from growing, so that only the new seasonal lots appear.
- "Optional - Block Boarded-up Houses" - If installed, this download will block the two boarded up houses from appearing in your cities.
Both of these downloads can be installed by unzipping the contents of the download and copying the folder labeled "Z_BT Overrides" into your Plugins folder.
CREDITS
Special thanks to EffTheGrid for creating the Postwar Cape Cod R$ houses in the first place. Thanks as well to C.P., whose flora and car props are featured prominently on these lots. Finally, thank you to members of the Simtropolis community for providing encouragement and feedback during the creation of this content!
