About This File

Located in the Loring Park neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Booth Manor is a 21-story residential tower that was constructed in 1977. It is currently owned by the Salvation Army and serves as an assisted living community for senior citizens.

This recreation is a growable R$$ tower that sits on a 2x2 lot. I have also included a ploppable version (static landmark) for those of you who play like I do ;)

As always, I am offering both Darknite and Maxisnite versions. Download and install only one at a time, or you will pay dearly. The Darknite version requires Simfox's mod, which is available here

I hope you all enjoy. Please leave feedback below!

k. first comment.  First off the bat is amazing and the textures look great. Now for the critiques.  It would be nice if you labled the lot files more clear for those of us who cant tell the difference between the darknite and maxis files.  Also to differentiate between the ploppable and growable files will be hard for some. Lable the files more clear and you get 5 stars. Nice bat overall!

Aflack, that's a very good point! I didn't even think about that! I really appreciate you mentioning that, I'll do that from now on :D

A great BAT! I love the lighting and textures and it's very nice to see a building from my hometown :) but it definitely looks great!

Yup, simple suffixes such as "PLOP (DN)" / "GROW (MN)" or similar can help a lot. Back to the building itself: I really dig this one because it's pretty characteristic and not a beautiful sight (I'm referring to the building here, not to your excellent BAT!). As such, it makes a city look more realistic because let's face it: Practically every RL city has some of these buildings that aren't exactly beautiful, but everybody living there recognises them. In addition to this, having several of these within one city wouldn't look too unrealistic, either. In fact, using it for a council housing project (maybe after modding it as R§) sounds like a viable option to me.

No offense to C:S fans, but it certainly feels good to see that top-notch uploads for SimCity haven't stopped. Thanks for sharing with us! :golly:

What a nice surprise!  I'm so happy to see this make it to the STEX.  Can't wait for your other projects to find there way here too.  :)

That place looks like a real dump. I love it! I like to rule my sims with an iron fist and those freeloading little automatons are gonna love this place whether they like it or not! :-P

Very cute building, I really like it.

As some have said it would have been nice to name the lot files so that we could know which is which.

I tested them, for those who want to know :

The "Booth Manor_e28f1dfc.SC4Lot" file is the ploppable one.
