About This File

This is my first upload

The Tour Montparnasse is a French building in the middle of Paris. It's finished in 1972 and was the tallest building in French till 2011. It has 59 floors and is 689 ft high.

This SimCity version has the following settings:

Jobs: CO$$$ 5,000

Water: 7,300

Power: 140

Bulldoze cost: 2,000

Lot size: 5x4

No Dependencies! (If so, tell me)

Hounestly, I've no idea how to put a night version in a building. If you do know how, please tell me in a message or a comment.

I'll do my best. If it's working as I want it to, then the file will be ready tomorrow.

And about the night lighting, I've got no idea how to add that to any building. If you do, then please tell me cause I want to make way more buildings.

Edit:

I was seriously working on it while you placed the comment :p

Not bad.....but the texture of the building is very repetitive and there is no door/entry way (that I can see anyway).  Also...the lot around the building is very bland and the trees growing out of the bricks\pavement looks weird.  I would add a grass area and move some of the trees there and add some sort of doors.

The doorway is at the right side but is invisible in the game because it's small.

I'll work on the lot of the building. Thanks for the tips. I'll add a better lot when I know how to make a night version.

Ow, and about the texture: I have a very bad computer right now. But, I'm getting a new pc in a few months and when I have  I'll make all buildings high quality so it will have a better texture if that's what you meen.

personally, i think you are on your way at least. i suggest scouring the forums or opening a thread. the building is beautiful, but not quite there. and of course, with no nightlighting, downloads will be at a minimum. your potential is obvious in my humble opinion.

This is a great BAT, a little rough around the edges, but not bad at all.

Why did you do this BAT?

Girafe, one of the best BAT creator for SC4 have make one version of it in HD in 2012.

This is not very useful to repeat 2 times a model, especially if it is worse.

Good job but it would be better to make unique BAT for the next.

I didn't know it excisted, but I'm making a few unique buildings right now and I'll upload it later this week. I'm making 'De Maastoren' in Rotterdam for example. I've never seen that in Simcity. And, I'm making the Hermitage Plaza (suggestion from the first post). That building isn't even being build yet.

I rarely if ever post (more of a browser) but have been a frequent visitor to this site for the past 8-9 years and respect the work everyone puts into their projects for the sake of sharing. I'm sure I speak for most of the community when I say uploads are always appreciated. Talented Batters/Modders have been the foundation of his community and it is why this game has lived on for so long. With that said, this "BAT" has many glaring similarities to one located on Google's 3D Warehouse. I think it's great that you have an interest in sharing content with the SC4 community. Batting can be a lot of fun regardless of your skill level and I encourage you to continue to create content but if this model originated from the 3D Warehouse in any way, I feel you should at least give credit to JBD for the model.

Even though it looks like it, this isn't the file I used. I do use google sketchup pro, and I made the building the same way as these people make it. But I swear with my hand on the bible, this isn't coming from the 3D Warehouse.

There's no problem with my BAT. The BAT is growable. So just wait till it's being built ;)
