  1. Hey everyone.. hoping someone can shed some light on an issue I've run into. When I export this model, it is choppy and distorted in the N & S view. This only happens in the closest 2 zoom levels. If I zoom out to Z4 I do no see the distortion and the model displays properly. I ran into this once a few years back and figured out a solution but I can't remeber what it was for the life of me (something about grouping the model before I create LODs I think). At any rate, this is something I seem to be running into with some models, others seem to export perfectly fine... I have tried the following steps: Open new scene in MAX and import the model only (No lights or LODs) Group model, re-set lights and LODs Save scene Export LODs and answer no the the save prompt Open new scene in GMAX/BAT Import model file, replace scene and I do not convert units Save scene in BAT and select export Open new scene in MAX and merge file without LODs or Lights Set LODs and Lights Select model file Export * When I export in Max the 2 "good" views seem to fill the preview render window, the 2 problem views seem to have an elongated preview render window where the model does not fill the whole window. A screen print from the LE of the bad view is below. If I rotaded this prop it would display as it should. Thanks in advance!
  2. Tour Montparnasse

I rarely if ever post (more of a browser) but have been a frequent visitor to this site for the past 8-9 years and respect the work everyone puts into their projects for the sake of sharing. I'm sure I speak for most of the community when I say uploads are always appreciated. Talented Batters/Modders have been the foundation of his community and it is why this game has lived on for so long. With that said, this "BAT" has many glaring similarities to one located on Google's 3D Warehouse. I think it's great that you have an interest in sharing content with the SC4 community. Batting can be a lot of fun regardless of your skill level and I encourage you to continue to create content but if this model originated from the 3D Warehouse in any way, I feel you should at least give credit to JBD for the model.     http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=557d5f1b5a076bdcf53b1b21212345ca&prevstart=0
  3. Prop and lot wont show in game after creating in LE Hello all, I am currently attempting to create a lot using LE and have come across an issue. I am creating a 4x4 lot using JFM's Billy Jean Hatfield tobacco barn. While in LE everything appears perfectly fine and the file exports to the plugin directory correctly, however once plopped in SC4 only the base texture appears ( note: I am able to see the barn on the lot before plopping, but it dissapears once plopped). After this, I attempted to use the building file (thinking there may be a prop issue) and created a new lot in LE. This also didn't work. I use the LE pretty extesivley and this is my first problem with anything I created in the lot editor but user error is not totally out of the question. Anyhow, I am currently at a loss so any help offered is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  4. Lot Editor - Help

Hello all, hope you can be of some assistance. I'm still a bit of a rookie when it comes to the LE and I am wondering why the program wont let me "save as" when working with the RMIP airport pack? I am attempting to add planes as props to various runway and taxiway pieces but my only option is to save. I would like to avoid this at all costs as I dont want to replace the original work. Your help is much appreciated. -ek
