About This File

Perhaps I revel in the mundane, but lately I have become very interested in the low wealth type apartment building that there are so many of in my neighbourhood. So, using all the little details I've noticed, I created "Crumby Arms," which I think is pretty representative of the style.

I've taken extreme care to get all the details right; for example, the windows are always directly below the floor slab on these buildings (I have never seen an exception to this.) Also, I've mimicked real buildings in the 3 sectioned windows, the recessed balconies and the antennas on the roof. Please rate accordingly.

wow. Kind of reminds me of brooklyn. I can almost see the roaches... spot on realism. you have my blessings. 10/10 for the incredible effort.

I've made a couple more, but they aren't as accurate. It would be relatively easy to tweak my original design into something bigger or with more wings, though.

Great! I hoped someone would produce lots like these. I know most people prefer cities full of skyscrapers but I want to build a "soviet" city. Mass produced concrete buildings and barren open spaces. Can you make more in this series? I have lots of pics for inspiration if you like!

Great building, you've captured council estates everywhere with this one, makes a nice change from glass and steel towers.

This isn't mundane, it's outstanding. We need buildings other than shiny towers and nice old houses!

A very nice addition to the game. This has more personality than some of the other R$ in the game.

It looks just like a housing project from the 1950s-1960s, the kind that were inflicted on cities everywhere back then. They can't all be shiny gleaming skyscrapers - we need more "mundane" stuff like this! Two thumbs up.

Well I'll make some more (if I have time). The poly count in the bat is kind of high though, and it runs prety slow on my computer.

WOW This is certainly one of the most realistic BAT I've seen on this exchange! You get a 10!

More of these kind of bldgs are certainly needed in Simcity as most BATers concern themselves with R$$ and R$$$ bldgs. The rooftop stuff is done well. Love it. What's the capacity of residents?

Dude. This is awsome. Extremely realistic. I wish more people would concentrate on low wealth buildings. I need more variety in my gigantic ghetto sardine city. It's got like 3.2 million low wealth residents on one large city map.

Great detailing! Very realistic, but not my taste. It is supposed to be a tenement, though, and the old tenement look, all run down is well emulated.

That looks terrible. Which I assume is what you are trying to achieve. And very realistic. I don't know what to rate it because it looks trashy and you've done such a good job of doing so. What the heck a 10. But no thumbs up as I don't like trashy buildings lol.
